RESt4GREEN at IZTECH: Inspiring the next generation of green innovators! 🌿
Throughout the spring semester, the İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji Enstitüsü (IZTECH) organized a series of promotional meetings for undergraduate and graduate students with the contribution of faculty members from the Departments of Architecture and Energy Systems Engineering.
During the sessions, students were introduced to the latest developments of the RESt4GREEN project, with a particular focus on its pilot energy renovations in public buildings and the deployment of next-generation smart solar-powered urban furniture, including solar trees and smart benches, in public parks and squares.
Engaging students and future professionals is a key step towards building greener, smarter, and more resilient Mediterranean cities.

🌱 Co-Creation Workshop Successfully Held in Tunisia!
As part of the RESt4GREEN project, Société de Gestion de la Technopole de Borj Cedria successfully organized a Co-Creation Workshop on 24 June 2026 at the premises of ISSTE Borj Cedria in Tunisia.
The workshop brought together project partners and stakeholders to exchange ideas and collaboratively design innovative educational approaches that promote energy efficiency and sustainability.
💡 During the workshop, participants:
✅ Developed concepts for energy-related educational games.
✅ Collaboratively designed game mechanisms and learning activities.
✅ Explored creative approaches to raise awareness and encourage sustainable energy practices.
The event strengthened collaboration among stakeholders and generated valuable ideas that will contribute to the next phases of the RESt4GREEN project.

What does it take to accelerate the green transition across the Mediterranean?🌎
During the 1st Multi-Programme Projects’ Dialogue on Energy, representatives from Interreg NEXT MED projects shared valuable insights on the role of innovation, cooperation, and community engagement in building a more sustainable future.
🌱 From inclusive governance and knowledge sharing to stronger collaboration between projects and institutions, the discussion highlighted the importance of people-centred solutions and collective action.

Strengthening Mediterranean Cooperation for a Greener Future 🌍
As part of the 1st Multi-Programme Projects’ Dialogue on Energy, representatives from the Interreg NEXT MED Programme and Interreg Euro-MED Programme highlighted the importance of cooperation, replication, and mainstreaming in advancing sustainable energy solutions across the Mediterranean.
Through inspiring statements, Programme Officers emphasized that collaboration between projects, programmes, and territories is essential to transform innovative ideas into practical and impactful actions for the region’s green transition.

1st Multi-Programme Projects Dialogue on Energy in Tunisia 🌏
Are you a key stakeholder based in Tunisia? Interested in joining our Mediterranean dialogue on energy and sustainability?
Join us to discover solutions and experiences from NEXT MED, Euro-MED and other Mediterranean programmes and projects addressing energy and sustainability challenges across the region.
This event, inspired by the strong cooperation fostered through the Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism (MMM), aims to bridge project results with emerging policy frameworks, creating a dynamic space for dialogue among policy-makers, researchers, project leaders and local authorities. By sharing experiences and lessons learned, the event contributes to shaping a more cohesive, resilient and sustainable cooperation landscape in the Mediterranean.
As a Sustainable Energy Day under , the event supports the advancement of clean energy and energy efficiency, offering a platform to inspire collaboration, inform decision-making and drive behavioural change towards achieving energy and climate goals.
