Guam defeats Macau 3–0 to continue strong showing at EAFF E-1 preliminary competition
Harmon, Guam (June 7, 2026) — Team Guam’s Masakåda delivered an impressive performance Sunday evening, defeating Macau 3–0 in the Women’s EAFF E-1 Football Championship Preliminary Competition 2026 Guam at the Guam Football Association National Training Center in Harmon.
Guam controlled the match from the opening whistle and was rewarded in the 30th minute when midfielder Kalyn Savage found the back of the net to give the hosts a 1–0 advantage heading into halftime.
Masakåda wasted little time extending their lead after the break as forward Myah Polzin scored in the 46th minute, doubling Guam’s advantage and putting Macau under pressure for the remainder of the match.
Guam continued to create opportunities throughout the second half and sealed the victory deep into stoppage time when Hiningi San Nicolas scored in the 90+3rd minute, capping off a dominant team performance and securing a 3–0 result.
The victory was backed by a strong defensive effort.
Head Coach Kimberly Ann Sherman praised her team’s commitment and ex*****on throughout the match.
The Guam Football Association thanks all supporters, volunteers, officials, and partners who continue to make the tournament a success and encourages the community to come out on Tuesday June 9 at 6pm to watch the finals between Korea and Chinese Taipei.

Myanmar 6-1 Guam
Under the Manila stadium lights, It was an intense play and action filled performance from both teams with Myanmar as the victor over our team Matao.
Guam's team Matao continued to compete throughout the match and with their determination, was able to find a way to make a score.
The Tri-Nation tournament is not a setback but another opportunity to grow, learn, and represent Guam with pride. One door closes and another will open, on to the next advancement of play!
