Register for our Youth Sailing Summer Program!

Session 4 starts on July 13. A FEW MORE SPOTS LEFT!

The Program is open to Beginner and Intermediate level youth sailors between the ages 8- 17. For returning and more experienced youth sailors, opportunities exist to refresh and build your skills in sailing.
Each session is 2 weeks from Monday-Friday 9AM-3PM.
We are offering:
• Level 1 – Beginner Sailing
• Level 2 – Intermediate Sailing

Due to Super Typhoon Bavi, the Marianas Yacht Club and our snackbar, Cheburicana, will be CLOSED today, Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5.

Youth Sailing classes for Monday, July 6, are canceled. Parents with their child in the sailing class will receive a separate message from the Lead Instructor with additional information regarding make-up classes and further updates.


We urge that all members secure their own boats and equipment as soon as possible and complete any storm preparations necessary for your boat/trailer/kayaks at the club.

Saturday 4th of July Fireworks @ MYC and Storm Update

Snack bar will be OPEN Friday July 3rd and on Saturday 4th of July from 6pm-9pm.

Sunday July 5th the snack bar will be CLOSED, in preparation of the typhoon.
All sailing classes are canceled for Monday July 6th, and most likely for Tuesday July 7th as well given the wind forecast. Your Lead instructor will be update you if your child is in the class.

Storm/ Typhoon Update – Please Read

Tropical Storm 09W was located near 10.8N 160.9E at 7am, according to Bulletin # 4 from the JTWC. The JTWC indicates the surrounding environment is highly favorable for rapid intensification. The typhoon is expected to pass through the Marianas Sunday late afternoon and Monday. Guam is within the range of possibility of seeing a direct hit by a major typhoon. Their latest forecast indicates 09W could be a Cat-4 typhoon at time of passage. We will continue to follow. Source: JTWC and US National Weather Service 7/2/2026 8am.

Please take this seriously and prepare now:

Secure all loose items and boats immediately
Check lines.
All boats must be properly secured; this is each member’s responsibility. If you are not on island, check with a friend to help you secure your boat.
Conditions may deteriorate quickly. Stay alert and monitor official updates.
