Child labour Volleyball Competition for the youths on Saturday June 13, 2026.
Hosted by the Ministry of Labour and Manpower Planning in raising awareness of Child Labour Month which is observe in June. The activity is a initiative taken by the Labour Officer - Region 7 with support of the Ministry to foster youth engagement through Healthy sports and development of skills promoting safe space for children to learn and grow in healthy and safe environment.

The Bartica Under-14 Volleyball Tournament marks a proud moment for youth sports in Region #7. For the first time ever, Bartica Under-14 volleyball team will face off against Georgetown in an exciting exhibition game.
This event aims to encourage young athletes, build teamwork and discipline, and create greater opportunities for volleyball development in Bartica.

After the trip, we decided to present our trophies to the Regional executive officer and the Mayor of Bartica as a token of appreciation.
This was bigger than winning, It was about recognizing the people who showed up for us
This gesture comes from pure gratitude. Thank you for the support and the belief in what we’re doing.

After all the long anticipation… we stepped onto that court with one goal.
And we got it done.
Both our male and female teams are champions 🏆
We went all the way to Linden by road, got stuck a few times… but guess what? We didn’t come back empty-handed.
In fact, both teams came back fully stacked
1st place trophies and medals in hand 🥇
Y’all ever see Bartica lose? Don’t answer that… 😂
Proud doesn’t even begin to explain it. This victory belongs to every player, every supporter, and everyone who believed in us from the start.
