Bartica volleyball Association

The Bartica Volleyball Association successfully concluded its junior year-end tournament with an exciting night of competitive matches and positive youth participation. The tournament showcased skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship from all teams involved.

We extend sincere thanks to the Bartica Town Council and the Small miners Association for coming on board and supporting this initiative. We also thank the parents who supported the event and allowed their children to take part. Your involvement continues to make youth sport possible in our community.

Match one featured the junior mixed teams, with each team comprising two females. The match was played in a best two out of three format and delivered strong performances throughout.
The MVPs for this match were Erran and Elisa Baldeo.

Match two saw the junior female teams, Butterfly and Bomb Squad, go head to head. The game was competitive and well played, with Theodosia gill earning MVP honours.

The final match of the night featured the junior male teams, Goliath and Spikers. After a hard fought match spikers emerged as the winners, while Ornando DaSilva of Goliath was named MVP for his outstanding performance.

The year-end tournament was a success, and we are hoping that the new year brings more opportunities and continued development for volleyball in Bartica.

We are proud to announce that our junior player, Valeria Leon, was selected to participate in one of the most exciting sporting events, the Inter-Guyana Games, which was held this December in Guyana.

Valeria proudly represented Bartica volleyball association in the Under-18 category, showcasing discipline, talent, and determination on a regional stage.

The bartica volleyball association would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone who made the Rev. Stephen Gomes birthday Tournament a success. To the friends and family who supported us every step of the way, your encouragement meant so much. To all who contributed, whether with resources, time, or simply your presence, your support truly made a difference.

A special thanks to all the teams who participated your sportsmanship, and dedication made the matches exciting and memorable. Watching the players compete with such passion was inspiring, and it reminded us why events like this are so important for our community.
