And just like that, our anniversary adventure continued… 💙

After lunch, we headed to the gardens for a beautiful stroll, stopped at LalaLand for coffee ☕️, explored AT&T Discovery, walked some more, talked some more, laughed some more, and of course, made our way to dinner. 🥰

But one of my favorite parts of the entire day wasn’t a place at all.

We ended our evening at church, came home, and prayed together. 🙏🏽

And after 26 years of marriage, this is something I know for sure: you never stop dating your spouse. You never stop creating memories. You never stop being intentional about your marriage. And you never stop inviting God into the center of it.

Marriage needs more than love. It needs friendship, intentionality, laughter, quality time, prayer, and two people who keep choosing to pour into what they have built together.

26 years later, we’re still dating, still learning, still growing, still praying, and still choosing each other. 💍

That’s marriage. That’s partnership. And that’s 26 years of US. 🥂💙

26 Years of Us 💙 | Anniversary Day, Part 1

Yesterday, we celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary, and this was just how our beautiful day began. 🥰

☕️ Starbucks in the morning
🎨 A little art museum date
🍽️ Lunch at Henry’s

After 26 years, I still love that we make time to date each other, experience new things together, laugh, talk, and simply enjoy being husband and wife.

Marriage isn’t only about the big milestones. It’s also about continuing to create beautiful moments together along the way. 💙

And this was only the first half of our anniversary celebration…

Our afternoon and evening adventures deserve their own post. 😉

Part 2 coming next… ✨

26 years today! 💙💍

Today, my husband and I celebrate 26 years of marriage, and when I look back over our journey, one thing I know for sure is that a strong marriage is not built on perfection. It is built on commitment, grace, forgiveness, friendship, faith, and two people choosing each other again and again.

We have grown together, learned together, laughed together, faced challenges together, and experienced many seasons of life side by side.

Marriage has taught me that love is more than the beautiful moments. Love is how you show up when life gets difficult. It is learning how to communicate, how to forgive, how to extend grace, and how to keep protecting what you have built together.

After 26 years, I can still look at this man and say, I choose you. 💙

I thank God for carrying us, keeping us, and allowing our marriage to become not only part of our story, but part of the wisdom we can now pour into others.

Happy 26th Wedding Anniversary to us, my love. 🥂💙

26 years down, and by God’s grace, there is still so much more of our story to write.

Here’s to love that grows, marriage that matures, and choosing each other for a lifetime. 💍💙

How do you know if you’re REALLY with the right partner? 👀💙

As a relationship coach, I get this question all the time.

And here’s what I tell people: don’t judge your relationship only by how much you love each other. Pay attention to what that love is producing.

Here are 7 signs I want you to look at:

1. You feel emotionally safe. 💙
You can be vulnerable and express yourself without constantly fearing judgment, rejection, or punishment.

2. You can communicate honestly. 🗣️
Even when the conversation is uncomfortable, you’re both willing to talk, listen, and work toward understanding.

3. The effort is mutual. 🤝
You’re not the only one fighting for the relationship. Both of you are willing to show up and do the work.

4. They support your growth. 🌱
The right partner won’t ask you to become smaller just to make them feel secure. They want to see you become your best self.

5. You feel loved, respected, and valued. 💕
Don’t just listen to “I love you.” Watch how they treat you. Love should show up in their actions too.

6. You can disagree without destroying each other. 🫶
Every couple will have conflict. The question is, can you disagree without disrespecting, humiliating, or intentionally hurting one another?

7. There is trust and consistency. 🔐
Their words and actions match. You’re not constantly questioning where you stand or trying to figure out whether you can trust them.

But there’s ONE more sign I believe many couples overlook, and it can determine whether a relationship actually has what it takes to go the distance. 👀

A relationship cannot feel safe when trust has been broken. 💙

When trust is damaged, it can affect the way you communicate, the way you love, and even the way you see your partner. You may become more guarded, suspicious, distant, or easily triggered, even when you truly want the relationship to work.

That is why sometimes, what your relationship needs is Reset.

Healing what was broken, rebuilding emotional safety, learning to communicate honestly again, and becoming a healthier partner in your relationship.

Because being a great partner is not just about loving someone. It is also about doing the inner work necessary to love them from a place of healing instead of hurt.

If broken trust, past hurt, or unresolved issues are affecting your relationship, you do not have to figure it out alone.

An empowered woman doesn’t shrink herself to make a relationship work. 💙

She communicates. She sets boundaries. She takes accountability. She knows how to love deeply without losing herself in the process.

A healthy relationship isn’t about one person having all the power. It’s about two people who feel safe to be themselves, communicate honestly, grow together, and choose each other every day. ✨

Queens, which one of these do you think is most important in a healthy relationship? 👇🏽👑

10 Things Empowered Women Do in a Healthy Relationship

1. They communicate honestly — They express their needs instead of expecting their partner to read their mind.

2. They maintain healthy boundaries — They know that loving someone doesn’t mean losing themselves.

3. They speak up when something feels wrong — They don’t stay silent just to keep the peace.

4. They take accountability — They can admit when they’re wrong and genuinely work to do better.

5. They allow themselves to be vulnerable — They understand that vulnerability is not weakness.

6. They choose respect over winning — During conflict, they focus on understanding and resolution, not proving who is right.

7. They keep their own identity — They continue nurturing their friendships, purpose, interests, and personal growth.

8. They receive love without constantly questioning it — They allow themselves to be cared for without feeling they have to earn it.

9. They expect consistency — They pay attention to actions, not just promises.

10. They choose partnership, not dependence — They love deeply while still knowing they are whole on their own.

An empowered woman doesn’t lose herself in love. She becomes more of who she was created to be while building a healthy relationship. 💙👑

Sometimes, it’s the little things that bring the most joy. 🌸💙

Doing the things I love, slowing down, and simply organizing these flowers reminds me that happiness doesn’t always have to be something big. Sometimes, it’s found in the quiet, simple moments we create for ourselves. ✨

Queens, time for the little things that make your heart smile. 👑

But somehow, you keep ending up in the same place. 💙

The same misunderstandings.
The same communication problems.
The same hurt feelings.
The same distance between you.

Sometimes, the problem isn’t that you don’t love each other. It’s that you don’t know how to fix what keeps going wrong.
