FIDE SEMINAR| All participants at the current International Chess Federation Seminar, are from Trinidad & Tobago, St. Lucia and Guyana.

Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) Seminar| Irshad Mohamad and James Bond, members of the Guyana Chess Academy are presently participating in an International Chess Federation (FIDE) sanctioned Arbiters Seminar in St. Lucia. The instructors are from the Canadian Chess Federation and the St. Lucian Chess Federation.

The Guyana Chess Academy is a non-profit organization devoted to extending the role of chess in local communities across Guyana.

Our mission is to bring the many educational benefits of chess to children and adults, ages 4-35+ years old by providing chess enrichment programs. It is our aim to teach the art and science of chess to our students by providing them with expert instruction and to organize opportunities to sharpen their skills.

These opportunities include, but are not limited to, participation in tournaments, matches, camps, exhibitions, tours, and access to lectures, newsletters, magazines, books, and classes.
