β½ DAY 4 β SECOND ANNUAL FOOTBALL YOUTH CAMPβ½
Day 4 was another fun-filled day of learning, football and teamwork!
We continued from where we left off on Day 3, with the youths learning more about prefixes and how they can change the meaning of words. We also introduced suffixes, giving the youths a better understanding of how words are formed and how small changes can make a big difference. ππ§
After the classroom session, it was time to get back outside! β½π₯ The youths took part in some football activities and got the chance to simply play, have fun and put their skills into action.
We wrapped up the day with a cool-down session, helping the young players recover properly after an active session.
Another great day of learning, playing and growing together! πͺπΎβ½β€οΈπ

We also continued our discussion about muscles and their importance in football. The youths learned more about the different muscles used when running, kicking, changing direction and performing different movements on the field. π¦΅πΎβ½
It was great seeing the young players asking questions, participating and putting what they learned into practice.

β½ DAY 2 β SECOND ANNUAL FOOTBALL YOUTH CAMPβ½
Day 2 was another great day of learning and football! ππΎ
We started the day with our Word of the Day: GRATITUDE ππΎ. The youths were encouraged to appreciate the people, opportunities and experiences that help them along their journey.
We continued our discussion on the 10,000-Hour Theory and what it really means. The youths learned that becoming great at football takes time, practice, consistency and dedication. There are no shortcuts β the more you practice and learn, the better you can become! πͺπΎβ½
The youths also got a little science lesson as they were introduced to some of the major muscles used when playing football, including the quadriceps, hamstrings and calf muscles. π¦΅πΎ
Then it was time to hit the field! β½π₯
The kids took part in different drills and received guidance from the coaches on the proper way to kick a football, including how to use their quadriceps and other leg muscles effectively when striking the ball.
Another day of learning, movement, teamwork and, of course, having fun! ππΎβ½
Day 2 complete β and we're just getting started! π₯

β½ DAY 1 β SECOND ANNUAL FOOTBALL YOUTH CAMPβ½
Day 1 of our Second Annual Football Youth Camp was all about getting to know each other and learning what it really means to be a footballer. ππΎ
We started with introductions and a little discussion on βWhat is a club?β The kids got a chance to understand that being part of a club is more than just playing football β itβs about teamwork, discipline, friendship, respect and being part of something bigger.
We also talked about **what football really entails and the different areas that help make a good player:
πͺπΎ Physicalβ fitness, strength, speed, coordination and skills.
π§ Mental β focus, confidence, discipline, decision-making and having the right mindset.
π₯ Nutritionβ eating properly, staying hydrated and taking care of your body.
We also introduced the kids to the 10,000-hour theory β the idea that becoming really good at something takes a lot of time, practice and dedication. The message was simple: 'you don't become great overnight; you have to keep working at it!' π₯
After the talk, it was time to put some of that knowledge into action! β½ The kids headed out onto the field where they got involved in different football drills, working on their skills, movement and teamwork.
A great start to what promises to be an exciting week! ππΎβ½π₯
Day 1 done. Let's keep going! πͺπΎ
