Congrats to our very own Jonathan Mentore who was selected to represent Guyana in the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Regional Under-19 Tournament scheduled to be played in Antigua from July 7-23, 2026.

Jonathan, a batting allrounder, also represented Guyana at the Under 15 level in 2022 and 2023 and was stand by for Guyana at the Under 17 level in 2025. He also represents his Club DCC in local competitions at various levels and was the Captain for the Under 17 team this year.

Guyanese and Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) left-arm spinner Ashmead Nedd returns to the St. Kitts and Nevis Pariots for the 2026 Caribbean Premier League.

CPL will run from August 7 - September 20, with the finals set for Barbados at the iconic Kensington Oval.

In a social media post, Patriots described Nedd as “bringing energy and balance back to the squad”.

Berbice and Demerara will contest the final of the Guyana Cricket Board Under-19 Inter-County 50-over competition after they occupied the top two spots at the conclusion of the round-robin phase of the tournament on Thursday.

DCC and Guyana opener Lomar Seecharan smashed an unbeaten 93 as Guyana beats Windward Islands by 133 runs in CWI U-15 Championship.

Guyana was led by half-centuries from Seecharan and Richard Ramdehol as well as a six-wicket haul from Reyaz Latif yesterday at the Antigua Recreation Ground.
