Before they carry the responsibility of protecting our country, how financially prepared are the men and women behind the uniform?

During our Financial Readiness Immersion with approximately 100 Guyana Police Force Officers Guyana, I asked:

โ€œIf you received an inheritance that gave you a financial head start in life, have a seat.โ€

Almost the entire room remained standing.

That moment wasn't about what they did not receive. It was about what they now have an opportunity to intentionally build for themselves and the generation coming after them.

Our officers carry an enormous responsibility for our nation. But their personal financial readiness matters too.

Financial stress, inadequate savings, debt pressure and retirement unpreparedness can follow a rank to work, consuming mental bandwidth and potentially becoming a workforce and operational vulnerability.

We believe this can be addressed.

Assess the gaps. Identify the financial stressors. Equip our ranks. Measure the progress.

Let's build financially prepared ranks and stronger institutions.

A financially prepared workforce is an operationally ready workforce.

I asked approximately 100 Guyana Police Force officers, Assistant Superintendents and above:

โ€œIf you received an inheritance that gave you a financial head start in life, have a seat.โ€

Almost no one sat down.

I remained standing with them.

Then I asked the question that shifted the conversation:

โ€œIs that the legacy we want to pass on to our children?โ€

That was how we opened our Financial Readiness session at the The Guyana Police Force Officers' Personal and Professional Development Symposium, hosted by the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Guyana Police Force on August 20, 2026.

For 40 minutes, we did three things together:

โœ… ASSESS

Officers assessed themselves across the 7 F's for a Financially Fulfilling Legacy and calculated their personal Financial Readiness Score.

โœ… DISCOVER

We explored financial identity and the behaviours that determine what happens to our income after it reaches our hands.

Are we simply earning and consuming?

Or are we intentionally converting today's income into tomorrow's financial security?

โœ… DESIGN

Officers were introduced to building a 5-Year Financial Security Roadmap using salary, skills, increased earning capacity, savings and income-producing assets.

Then we deposited a practical system they could begin using immediately:

TITHE. INVEST. SAVE. DONATE. SPEND.

Five decisions.

Every payday.

Because income should not simply come in and disappear into bills.

Income must also become seeds for the future.

Commissioner of Police Clifton Hicken joined the conversation and provided clarity around investment and income-generating considerations for serving officers within the framework governing their service.

This is bigger than teaching people about money.

It is about giving the men and women who serve our nation practical systems to build financial security for themselves, their families and the generations coming after them.

Our work within Guyana's disciplined services continues.

Guyana Prison Service.
Guyana Police Force.
And we're building from here.

The institutions that protect this nation deserve financially prepared workforces.

Outliers Zone Caribbean is committed to partnering with leadership to build them, one institution at a time.

A financially prepared workforce is an operationally ready workforce.

I stood in front of a room full of employees and asked one question:

If you received an inheritance that gave you a financial head start in life, be seated.

99% of the room remained standing.

Then I said, โ€œMe too. I have to keep standing.โ€

We built something from nothing.

We figured it out the hard way. We borrowed when we ran short. We hoped the next month would be better. And many of us are still standing because no institution, not our family, not our school, not our employer, ever gave us a financial system.

Now I want to ask a harder question.

Do we want the same for our children?

Because right now, ranks within our disciplined services are raising the next generation on many of the same financial foundations they inherited.

No plan.
No system.
No roadmap.
Just hope.

And when a rank has no financial system, no emergency fund, no long term financial security plan beyond a pension, financial pressure can create vulnerabilities that extend beyond the individual.

That is why institutions cannot afford to wait until financial distress begins affecting focus, resilience, judgement or performance before addressing it.

Operational Financial Readinessโ„ข is about breaking that cycle.

Not just for the rank.

For the family depending on them.

For the child watching them.

For the institution relying on them.

And ultimately, for the nation they serve.

That is why we do this.

When a rank or employee receives income, it should not simply be treated as

It should be treated as

The common cycle looks like this:
๐—œ๐—ก๐—–๐—ข๐— ๐—˜ โ†’ ๐—•๐—œ๐—Ÿ๐—Ÿ๐—ฆ โ†’ ๐—” ๐—Ÿ๐—œ๐—ง๐—ง๐—Ÿ๐—˜ ๐—ฆ๐—”๐—ฉ๐—œ๐—ก๐—š๐—ฆ โ†’ ๐—ฅ๐—˜๐—ฃ๐—˜๐—”๐—ง

That may keep a household functioning.
But it does not necessarily build financial security.

The first level of financial security begins when part of today's income is deliberately assigned to assets capable of producing tomorrow's income.

That's why our Operational Financial Readiness Money Increasing Systemโ„ข teaches ranks and government employees to give every dollar an assignment before it arrives, across five areas:
๐“๐ˆ๐“๐‡๐„ | ๐ˆ๐๐•๐„๐’๐“ | ๐’๐€๐•๐„ | ๐ƒ๐Ž๐๐€๐“๐„ | ๐’๐๐„๐๐ƒ

The percentages can change according to the individual's reality.
The power is in the system.

Instead of:

We teach:

Because increasing salaries without strengthening the financial systems used to manage those salaries can simply mean more money flowing through the same financially vulnerable household.

Financial readiness is not only about how much a rank earns.
It is about what happens to the money once it reaches their hands.

For leaders of disciplined services and government agencies, this matters.
Because financially vulnerable ranks can become an operational readiness risk.
We don't just need better-paid ranks.
We need financially prepared ranks.

In Guyana, we often hear, โ€œItโ€™s not who you know, but who knows you.โ€ I still believe in simply making the formal request and ASKING.

Hereโ€™s why...

For years, when I wanted to meet public figures and decision makers regarding business opportunities, I looked to people I knew who worked closely with them to make the introduction.

Guess what? Many times, it never happened.

Then, as I prayed about it, THE CREATOR impressed something simple upon me:

โœ… Write the letter.
โœ… Pick up the phone.
โœ… Make the request.
โœ… Visit the office.
โœ… ASK.

So I did.

In June 2026, I wrote and requested a meeting with Hon. Oneidge Walrond, Minister of Home Affairs . To my surprise, I was granted the opportunity to meet with her and present the mission behind Outliers Zone Caribbeanโ€™s Operational Financial Readinessโ„ข Solution for disciplined services and government agencies.

Thatโ€™s all it took. I ASKED.

Minister Walrond received a copy of our financial security planning manual, The 7 Fโ€™s for a Financially Fulfilling Legacyโ„ข, welcomed the solution and recommended that we engage the Guyana Prison Service, Guyana Police Force and Guyana Fire Service, agencies under her Ministry that could benefit from this work.

Then came the responsibility to EXECUTE further with FAITH.

My second engagement was with Director of Prisons Nicklon Elliot.

Again, I simply followed the formal process and ASKED.

He also received a copy of The 7 Fโ€™s, and we began discussions on how Operational Financial Readinessโ„ข can strengthen the financial preparedness and long term security of ranks within the Guyana Prison Service.

Now, I will continue making the formal requests and knocking on the doors.

Because I believe:

If THE CREATOR gives us the VISION, He will make the PROVISION. But we must be willing to EXECUTE with FAITH, intentionality and PURPOSE.

Sometimes the person we think should open the door is simply NOT the person THE ALMIGHTY intends to use.

No resentment. No hard feelings. Keep moving with a smile. ๐Ÿฅฐ

He is building our character in the process.

If YOU have a vision:

Write the letter.
Make the call.
Visit the office.
Make the request.
Show up.
EXECUTE WITH FAITH.

The answer will either be YES or N.O. New Opportunity.

Stay divinely guided and keep moving with the vision THE CREATOR placed in our hands.

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡พ A financially prepared workforce is an operationally ready workforce.

Make this week count. EXECUTE on your vision.

With love & abundance,
Athalyah Yisrael ๐Ÿ’—
