Delroy Tyrrell of the Dorado Speed Swim Club, who is currently representing Team Guyana in the discipline of swimming at the 6th Islamic Solidity Games in Riyadh Saudi Arabia, has moved on to the semi finals round of the men’s 50 meters backstroke. He is one of three Guyanese swimmers who made semifinals at these Games. The others were Andrew Fowler who competed in the 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku, Azerbaijan and made the semifinals of the men's 50m freestyle and Onan Thom who won a bronze medal in the 50m backstroke at the 2005 Islamic Solidarity Games in Jeddah.
