以"潛能無限,由我啟發"為宗旨,目的把每個學生的潛能激發出來,藉由系統化的訓練強健青少年之體格,並精進其訓練技術,充分發揮其被激發的潛能。

本會提供游泳訓練、體適能訓練、獨木舟及潛水等課程,提供多元化運動發展予學生,並提供考核證書計劃予學校、會所、社團機構參與,致力培訓有潛質運動員參與比賽,為泳壇作出貢獻。
潛泳會為配合本港體壇之需求,潛泳會由成立至今一直聘請不同國籍的教練,無論教練團及學生中,我們單是教練已經由超過3個不同的種族、膚色、原屬國或族群組成,目的希望以運動打破語言障礙,讓不同背景、種族的人互相溝通及建立關係。

水的特性包括浮力及阻力,浮力可將身體的重量減輕,對關節造成最少的壓力。當肌肉抵抗水阻產生收縮,達到強化肌肉之效,在水中做運動,既安全又有效。
利用水的浮力、阻力及壓力三種特性,配合不同的肢體動作及輔助器材,對強化關節、肌肉鍛鍊、提升心肺功能等皆有顯著作用。
浮力減少關節痛楚:
在陸上全身關節承受個人體重的壓力,人在水中體重變輕,尤適合個別人士需要額外保護關節,例如受創傷後康復中的運動員、過胖人士、骨質疏鬆病患者,沒有陸上運動對關節的衝擊力,避免關節勞損加劇,阻止毛病惡化。
例如深蹲或一些彈跳的動作,我們關節的負荷是相對減少,所以特別對一些痛和繃緊的人士,水中運動可以把痛症處理得更好。

The properties of water include buoyancy, resistance and pressure. Buoyancy reduces the weight of the body with minimal stress on the joints. When the muscles resist the water resistance and contract, the effect of strengthening the muscles is achieved, and exercising in the water is both safe and effective.
Using the three characteristics of water buoyancy, resistance and pressure, with different body movements and auxiliary equipment, it has a significant effect on strengthening joints, muscle training, and improving cardiopulmonary function.
Buoyancy reduces joint pain:
On land, the joints of the whole body are under the pressure of personal weight, so people’s weight will be lose in water, which is suitable for individuals especially, who need additional joint protection, such as athletes recovering from trauma, overweight person, and patients with osteoporosis. Avoid joint strain aggravation, prevent the disease deteriorate.
For example, in water doing squats or some bouncing movements, the load on our joints is relatively reduced, so especially for some people with pain and tension, aerobic can help for recovering from the pain.

水中健體特別適合陸上運動有困難的人,例如關節痛症患者、過重、復康人士等。水中浮力能減輕2/3的關節負荷,能全方位鍛鍊肌肉外而不傷關節,亦有助增強肌力和肌耐力。在水中進行同樣的訓練,因為助浮力關係,可比陸上訓練燃燒多近3倍卡路里,就算不會習泳也可以參加!
