Dear Competitors,

The PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE for the Asian Rowing Virtual Indoor Championships has been sent to all competitors. Please check your EMAIL, including the JUNK Mailbox.

If you have any questions or difficulties regarding this schedule please inform us by 20:00 HK Time TODAY (13th January). After this no further changes will be considered.

The FINAL SCHEDULE will be published tomorrow morning and the personal race log-in information will be sent directly to the individual email address provided for each competitor. Please make sure that you check these email addresses regularly before the race for any updates. Make sure to check that emails are not going to your SPAM folder.

Please note there are approximately 700 entries, over 100 events and several different time zones. We cannot guarantee to accommodate all requests for changes to the schedule as these may affect other competitors.

For any competitors who have not completed their race details or updated documents or photos requested by the OC, their entries will be deleted from the system when the draw is made. No refunds will be made in this case.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has strongly impacted sports events locally, regionally and globally. In view of the physical constraints of hosting the competition in person, Hong Kong, China Rowing Association hopes that the virtual event will bring the regional and local rowers together, professional and amateur, embracing the rowing spirit. We expect the ACQ of the WRICH attracts 14 Asian countries/regions with nearly 300 entries from the region, extending our continuing success from the 2019 World Rowing Coastal Championships presented by Dah Sing Bank in late 2019.” said by Mr NG Kong Wan, Chairman of the HKCRA.

賽協主席吳江泓先生表示：「新型冠狀病毒病疫情對本地性、區域性及全球性的體育賽事產生了重大影響。基於受到疫情的限制，參賽者未能親身到達比賽場地參與比賽，賽協希望透過網上比賽能夠將各區域和本地賽艇愛好者、專業選手、或是業餘選手，紛紛凝聚在賽艇精神上。我們預計世界室內賽艇錦標賽亞洲區資格賽成功吸引了來自14個亞洲國家或地區近300個報名，是成功延續我們於2019年年尾在香港舉辦的世界海岸賽艇錦標賽。」
