Last weekend the mats were full of sweat — and smiles.

Adults, teens and kids all trained Go waza (five continuous attacks). Lower belts worked with tsuki (punch); brown belts practised shomen (front strike) and yokomen (side strike). Our kid class did an age-appropriate version of the same lesson.

The point was not only the attack. It was timing, contact, and moving the whole body together. For the kids, they can practise ukemi (safe falling) — and learn to stand up quickly after every fall while stay alerted of the situation.

After class, the dojo shared a small birthday celebration for Anh Nguyen Sensei. A simple cake, a lot of warm-hearted wishes. Thank you to everyone who trained hard and stayed to say happy birthday to her. 🎉🎂❤️

Come try a class on the mats. Adults, teens and kids are welcome.
