Serendib Tritons lost the Toss to a tough opponent Indians United and batted first with a opening pair from last season Sivakumar and Kamran and got up the 50 within the power play without loss and Kamran went on to score a 50 with able support from Zubair Khan with 49 and useful contributions from all batters and set a Target of 156 for the opposition.

Indians United chasing a stiff target were kept under check by tremendous new ball bowling from Tanveer and Waseem and then Alam came on and broke the back of the opposition batting with two consecutive wickets in an over and then kept taking regular wickets and 🌟 Alam finished with 7-15 off his 4 overs* and fittingly got the last wicket to bundle the opposition under almost half the Target score for a big and convincing win.

MATCH REPORT

It’s the 1st match for the new season.
Morning the pitch was a bit wet but SLCC took the chance to bat 1st but later it turned out to be a very hot and burning day.
Indunil batted well scoring 19 runs as the opener. But then the wickets started to lose and one stage it was 58 for 5 when Shabaz and Mathisha put up some partnership and Shabaz got out for 24
Then Haroon came in and scored quick 20
Harsha contributed 16
While Mathisha was holding on one end for almost 1 1/2 hours making 12 runs in 66 balls.

2 withal catches were dropped at the beginning of Dragons innings which was the turning point of the game and Dragons started to cruise towards victory
But Udaya came in and bowled fantastically and grabbed 3 quick wickets in 8 overs. But it couldn’t hold Dragons victory.
He took 3 for 38. A great start for the season.

Hard luck boys and good luck for the next game. 🏏
