We pause to remember John Fisher beloved family member, friend and crew mate who was tragically lost at sea 8 years ago today.

Fish was a gifted sailor, generous man, and a friend we all dearly miss. With that cheeky grin on his face, his good humour, experience, and passion for sailing inspired not only those who personally knew and sailed with him, but the wider sailing community as well.

We draw some comfort knowing that John was doing what he loved and pursuing a lifelong dream by racing around the world with his mates in the Volvo Ocean Race.

In the words of the man himself "It's one of those things you always dream of doing... If you are lucky enough to get the chance to do a race like this, everyone should grab it I think. It isn't for everyone, but you should always challenge yourself."

We especially think of the Fisher family and all those who knew John personally on this difficult day.

Always in our thoughts. Fair winds mate, sail on.

Maintenance and modifications are progressing well as work continues on Sun Hung Kai Scallywag 100.

Mid-March already and Scallywag 100's engine, winches, fittings and coach roof are all now off the yacht and removed for some TLC and well-earned maintenance. The yacht's keel and bulb have headed overseas to New Zealand where they will be undergoing their own special modifications in the coming months.

What's left of Sun Hung Kai Scallywag 100 after all of that you ask?

Our sleek, fully stripped back, barebones hull, sans paint work - last seen in all its exposed glory 10+ years ago!

Looking forward to seeing what comes next - a new paint scheme perhaps?

Sun Hung Kai Scallywag 100 is in the shed, tented up ready for 2026 maintenance and mods!

There's a shedload of work planned for Scallywag this year including... cutting the coach roof off, a new pit design, IRC moded parts, jib track updates, drop line system, different forestay positions, keel and bulb mods, keel ram service, new tunnels on the foredeck, additional hull structure to support more forestay tension, boat diet and to top it all off new swanky paint job topsides and deck!

A solid start to a big year of jobs - keep up the great work team!

Happy new year!

The delivery team have made it safely back from Hobart to Sydney and it is straight into maintenance and refit preparation.

The Scallywag rib is getting a well deserved service.

Sun Hung Kai Scallywag 100's mast and boom have been lifted out of the yacht and the hull also now lifted out of the water onto its cradle in preparation for the work ahead.

Great job all!

Check out these amazing Sydney Hobart race shots from Bram our on board reporter (OBR) who really captured the Scallywags in action and digging deep as the team weathered the conditions.

The Scallywags have crossed the line in Hobart in 3rd place behind Comanche and LawConnect.

Despite Sun Hung Kai Scallywag 100 holding the lead as we approached the Tasmanian coast, as the breeze filled in Comanche and LawConnect were able to extend on us in Storm Bay. We just couldn't catch them in the end - normally a carpark who would have thought that there would have been solid breeze in the Derwent after all these years?!

Credit to the team the Scallywags left nothing on the table and gave it their all demonstrating solid crew work throughout the tough conditions of the race. Well done SH, Witty and all the crew for never giving up and staying true to our team ethos.

Thanks to our families, friends, and you all our loyal fans around the world for all your support during the race and this year.

See you in customs!
