Following the success of our rugby program at the Chak Yan Society of Boys’ Centre, Operation Breakthrough is thrilled to announce the launch of our trial boxing classes at the Hui Chung Sing Society of Boys' Centre!

Society of Boys’ Centres provide critical residential and educational support for youths facing behavioral or family challenges. With 7 specialized centers across Hong Kong, our goal is to bring the transformative power of sport to as many of them as possible.

We are BACK on the court! 🏀🔥

Following a post-Covid break, the Operation Breakthrough basketball team has officially restarted training. We are incredibly proud to partner with the Hong Kong Playground Association for this relaunch, driven by the passion of our enthusiastic police volunteers who are stepping up as coaches and mentors.

Leading the Charge:
This project is currently led by our Director of Rugby, Peter Yip, who is pulling dual duty to oversee both sports programs and drive our mission forward!

Yesterday, Operation Breakthrough launched an exciting new chapter for our Boxing Section at the Society of Boys’ Centre Hui Chung Sing Memorial School. Over 50 students joined us for a powerful session themed “Strive for Life” (拼搏人生), introducing them to the discipline of boxing ahead of two practical trial lessons coming up this July.

We are thrilled to officially introduce and congratulate our new Boxing Directors, Doris Tsang and Edwin Ng as they step into their leadership roles! Both are decorated athletes who have represented the Hong Kong Police Boxing Club (PBC) and share a deep, long-standing history with Breakthrough.

At the same time, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our outgoing director, Mr. Eric Wong, for his incredible dedication, mentorship, and invaluable contributions to our youth over the years🙏🏿❤️

🔥 PAC Adventure Challenge 2026 | Breakthrough in Action! 🏃‍♂️💨

What a day! Our Director, Mr. YIP Man-kuen, led two of our Breakthrough Boys through a grueling 11km orienteering course starting from the Tai Po JPC Club House all the way to Sheung Shui. 🗺️📍

But the finish line was just the beginning. The team headed to the Police Tactical Unit (PTU) to smash a series of high-intensity challenges, including:
🧗‍♂️ Rope ladder climbs
⚽ Cooperative ball passing
⚡ Agility runs

We were honored to have our Chairman, Mr. David Jordan, on-site to cheer the team on—his presence sent morale through the roof! 📈🙌🏽

From start to finish, the boys showed incredible grit, coordination, and that "never-give-up" spirit we’re so proud of. Huge congrats to the team for completing the race and showing what Operation Breakthrough is all about! 💪🏽🔥

Operation Breakthrough recently hosted an appreciation ceremony to honor the donors, volunteers, and partner non-profit organizations who support Hong Kong’s youth through sports and mentorship. Key supporters acknowledged included The Tung Foundation, The Community Chest of Hong Kong, The Wharf Group, The Sir Robert Ho Tung Charity Fund, and Dr. Nai, Mr. N.H. Cheung.
Chairman David Jordan thanked guests, stating their generosity brightens the future of beneficiaries by providing access to valuable programs.
