Fault & Fix 2

Flying Elbow (backswing)

Flying elbow is one of the most common inefficiencies in the golf swing which a lot of golfers suffer from, yet have no clue why they cannot stop it even though they are aware of it. Usually flying elbow goes along with overswinging and they happens mostly because these golfers does not have enough thoracic spine mobility and scapular stability.

Clubface control 2

Last month we mentioned there are 2 key positions we need to mind about in managing direction of the golf ball. The 1st position was addressed already and we are going to discuss the 2nd position now.

The downswing happens so fast that it is almost an instinctive reaction to what we did in our backswing. Therefore the top of our backswing (the last moment before the downswing starts) is our last chance of directing the clubface.

Club face control

If you want to shoot a good score, you need to hit the ball where you want to. To achieve that, club face control is of utmost importance because it lines up your aim to the actual direction the ball goes.

The backswing influences club face control and there are 2 key positions we need to take care of. We will discuss the 1st one this time and the 2nd one next month.
