VNL 2027 both Men’s and Women’s competitions will expand to 19 teams for once only. Russia will be back, Slovenia women’s team and Finland men’s team are the new challengers!

📱Big news for the 2027 VNL: Both Russia men’s and women’s team will be competing on the main stage!

FIVB confirmed, following the reinstatement of Russia's eligibility, the tournament is expanding from 18 to 19 teams for both men’s and women’s competitions.

This allows Russia to rejoin international play while securing Slovenia's women’s team and Finland men’s team historic VNL debut as the highest-ranked non-2026 qualified team.
