The return of LIV Golf Hong Kong looms just three weeks away and this past week has seen two of its stars help start to build the buzz before the March 7-9 tournament at the Hong Kong Golf Club.
American Patrick Reed and Taiwan’s Max Lee Chieh-po will join a line-up that includes some of the greats of the modern game - Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm and Cameron Smith among them – and both are excited by the opportunity to return to the SAR.
“I can’t wait to come back,” said the 34-year-old Reed. “The spectators, the fans, the people and the golf course - it’s a place I always look forward to coming back to.”

梁曦彤在「2025年香港女子業餘錦標賽」以3桿優勢勇奪冠軍。週四在清水灣鄉村俱樂部結束兩輪比賽，梁曦彤以低於標準桿4桿的136（69-67）桿總成績完成。
濃霧迫使原定於週三上演的一輪比賽取消，讓賽事的焦點集中在週四的最後一輪，梁曦彤與王鎧澄同樣以69桿的首輪成績躋身最後一輪。
現年15歲的梁曦彤在比賽中一直領先，何雁詩則以低於標準桿1桿的139（70-69）桿總成績獲得第二名，排名第三的王鎧澄總成績為高於標準桿3桿的143（69-74）桿。
「很高興這週我贏了，我的擊球很穩定。」梁曦彤說：「由於天氣狀況很差 —— 大風、大霧、下雨，第二天的比賽非常艱難，結果該輪比賽取消了，幸好另外兩輪比賽我都表現不俗。三週後我將首次出戰『亞太女子業餘錦標賽（WAAP）』，與一些非常優秀的球員對賽，我非常期待跟她們學習。」
「女子中年業餘錦標賽」方面，一組冠軍由Ingrid Leven奪得，二組冠軍則是Tammy Chan。

Leung Hei-tung secured a three-stroke victory in the 2025 Hong Kong Ladies Close Amateur Championship at The Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club on Thursday, signing off on a two-round total of four-under-par 136 (69-67).
Heavy fog forced the cancelation of Wednesday’s scheduled round and so it all came down to Thursday, with Leung and Sabrina Wong starting play tied on 69.
The 15-year-old Leung then powered away from the field, with Stephanie Ho finishing second on one-under 139 (70-69) and Wong third on plus-three 143 (69-74).
“I’m very glad that I won this week. My shots were solid,” said Leung. “It was tough to play on the second day because of the weather conditions – it was windy, foggy, rainy - but that was cancelled and the other two days were pretty good. In three weeks I’ll be playing the WAAP for the first time among some really great players and I hope I can learn from them.”

The 2025 Hong Kong Mid Amateur Division I title was meanwhile lifted by Ingrid Leven with the Division 2 title going to Tammy Chan.

上月，在阿聯酋Al Hamra俱樂部上演的「歐亞對抗賽」（Patsy Hankins Trophy / Bonallack Trophy）中，一位新面孔協助亞太隊成功奪冠 —— 中國香港的鄧瑜在賽事中擔任亞太隊副隊長，而她將繼續發揮自己的技能（和影響力）。
這是鄧瑜首次與Joanne McKee（港隊女子隊隊長）一同出訪海外作賽。自去年鄧瑜擔任港隊女子隊副隊長之後， 二人逐漸建立並加深了彼此的聯繫。
「能夠見證本地高爾夫球運動發展的整個歷程，感覺真的是非常特別。我們都感到非常自豪。」鄧瑜說。

There was a new face helping guide the fortunes of the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) team at last month’s Patsy Hankins Trophy at the Al Hamra Golf Club in the United Arab Emirates, with Hong Kong, China’s own Phyllis Tang playing the role of Vice-Captain as she continues to widen her skill-set (and her influence).
It was Tang’s first international trip alongside Joanne McKee (her regular Hong Kong, China Ladies Captain) as the pair continue to strengthen a bond forged last year when Tang stepped into the role of the SAR’s Ladies Vice-Captain.
“It’s such a special feeling witnessing the whole journey that Hong Kong golf has been through. We all feel so proud,” says Tang.

丁慧中的女子歐巡賽之旅今天正式展開，首戰是在摩洛哥Dar Es Salam皇家高爾夫俱樂部上演的「Lalla Meryem Cup」。
作為中國香港首位女子歐巡賽全卡球員，丁慧中將於當地時間上午9時20分（香港時間下午4時20分）開球，同組球員包括捷克的Kristyna Napoleaova和加拿大的Anna Huang。
今場賽事共有108位球員參賽，總獎金達45萬歐元；現年22歲的、首次出戰女子歐巡賽的丁慧中，今年還將出戰達30場女子歐巡賽事。

Ginnie Ding’s great, big Ladies European Tour (LET) adventure begins today when she tees off in the Lalla Meryem Cup, being staged across the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam (Blue Course) in Morocco.

Hong Kong, China’s first fully fledged LET player is down to tee off on debut at 9.20am local time (4.20pm here in Hong Kong) alongside Kristyna Napoleaova of the Czech Republic and Canada’s Anna Huang.

There’s a field of 108 players, there’s 450,000 euro up for grabs – and it’s the first of 30 LET tournaments ahead for the 22-year-old Hongkonger.

冠軍沈弘毅以低於標準桿1桿的271（72-66-69-64）桿總成績、7桿的優勢壓過Li Shen（總成績為278桿），傅柏喬則以總成績280桿奪得季軍。
「中年業餘錦標賽」則由Jeffrey Chow勇奪冠軍，其總成績為高於標準桿16桿的288（73-73-72-70）桿，領先同樣交出292桿的Adam Rolston（71-77-73-71）和Stuart Murray（74-72-75-71）。

Jeffrey Shen has claimed his second straight Hong Kong Close Amateur Championship at the Hong Kong Golf Club.
Shen signed for a one-under-par 271 (72-66-69-64) and a seven-stroke victory over Shen Li on six-over 278 (69-73-70-66) and Ricardo Fu on eight-over 280 (73-67-71-69).
The Mid Amateur Division title was claimed by Jeffrey Chow Jo Fai on 16-over 288 (73-73-72-70), ahead of Adam Rolston on 20-over 292 (71-77-73-71) and Stuart Murray on 20-over 292 (74-72-75-71)

踏入2025 年，中國香港球員在世界頂級職業巡迴賽中將呈現前所未見的盛世，進一步證明了本地高爾夫球運動空前的發展。
許龍一和張雄熙上週完成了新一季亞巡賽的揭幕戰「菲律賓公開賽」，丁慧中則排期2月 6日出戰女子歐巡新賽季的首場賽事，而陳芷澄則會分別征戰美國的Epson巡迴賽（首場比賽於2月28日展開）、女子美巡賽（首場比賽於1月30日展開）及女子歐巡賽。至於國內賽場方面，黑純一將於3月24日回歸中巡賽的戰圈。

Hong Kong, China has entered 2025 with an unprecedented presence across the world’s leading professional Tours in what is further evidence of the growth of the game here.
Taichi Kho and Matthew Cheung were last week in action following the resumption of the Asian Tour at the Smart Infinity Philippine Open, Ginnie Ding will mark her first start as a Ladies European Tour (LET) regular on February 6, while Tiffany Chan is looking to the Epson Tour (first start - February 28) and the LPGA Tour (starts: January 30) in the USA as well as the LET. Closer to home, Jason Hak Shun-yat will be back on the China Tour when play resumes on March 24.
“These players continue to set a great example for our juniors – and for all golfers in Hong Kong,” says Golf Association of Hong Kong, China Head Coach Tim Tang. “It’s easier now than ever before to follow them no matter where they play so we encourage everyone to get behind our stars in 2025.”

皇家古老高爾夫俱樂部2025年度獎學金計劃現已接受申請，該計劃旨在發掘「未來幾十年有潛質影響高爾夫球運動的人才」。
「候選人需要獲得一個國際認可的資格（二至四年），涵蓋任何與高爾夫球運動相關的領域。例如俱樂部管理、農業、教練、新聞工作、博物館研究、運動醫學、賽事管理、裁判、球場建築、行銷、旅遊等」R&A表示。
「這是一項全球的計劃，旨在增加高爾夫球運動的多樣性。我們正在積極尋求那些較少機會接觸高爾夫球的人，以及來自非傳統高爾夫球背景的申請人。」
申請人年齡也必須介乎18歲至29歲，並且能夠表現出對高爾夫球運動的非凡熱情及領導潛力。

Applications have opened for the 2025 Royal and Ancient Golf Club Scholarship, an initiative that aims to identify “those with the potential to shape golf in the coming decades.”

“Candidates should be pursuing a nationally recognised qualification [over two-to-four years] covering any area relevant to their ambitions in golf. Examples could be as varied as club management, agronomy, coaching, journalism, museum studies, sports medicine, tournament management, refereeing, golf course architecture, marketing, tourism,” according to the R&A.

”This is a global programme focused on increasing diversity in the game. We are actively seeking applications from individuals with fewer golfing opportunities available to them, and from non-traditional golfing backgrounds.“

Applicants also need to be aged between 18-29, and be able to show both exceptional commitment to the game along with leadership potential.

在「歐亞對抗賽」代表亞太隊擊敗歐洲隊並捧起Patsy Hankins Trophy後，中國香港球星劉弦收到了一個令人驚喜的消息。
「我將前往奧古斯塔！」劉弦在其社交平台上發布了這個消息：「畢生的夢想實現了。」
劉弦成為首位獲邀參加「2025年奧古斯塔女子業餘錦標賽」的中國香港球員，賽事將於4月2日至5日，即「美國大師賽」之前一週在美國佐治亞州著名的Augusta National球場舉行。
對於這位港隊球星來說，過去12個月非常精彩：她的世界業餘排名攀升至新高的第43位，她還在「2024年APGC青少年錦標賽」成功衛冕冠軍，並在「2024年IMG學院青少年世界錦標賽」及「起點中巡瑞士盈豐銀行新加坡站」勇奪冠軍。

「奧古斯塔，我們來了！」

Arianna Lau could hardly believe her eyes. On returning home from playing a major role in the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation’s Patsy Hankins Trophy victory over the European Golf Association, the Hong Kong, China star has been greeted with some stunning news.

“I’m headed to Augusta!” Lau posted on her Instagram account. “A lifelong dream just happened.”

In what is a first for a Hong Kong, China golfer, Lau has been selected to take part in the 2025 Augusta National Women’s Amateur tournament, to be staged across the famed course in Georgia from April 2-5, just before Masters week.

It caps a fantastic 12 months for the Hong Kong, China National Team star that has seen Lau climb to a career-high of 43 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, while successfully defending her 2024 APGC Junior Championship crown, claiming an IMG Academy Junior World Championship and winning the CLPGQ Singapore Laguna Series – 1 tournament against the pros.

“It’s such an honor for me to become the first Hong Kong golfer to receive an invitation to one of the world’s most prestigious amateur women’s golf events,” Lau posted. “14 years of hard work in [my] amateur career. So much work and preparation goes into this destination. I have been dreaming [for] many years to play on this finest stage in golf.

“Augusta here we come!”

善德基金會傑出青少年運動員2024
由香港體育學院（體院）主辦，善德基金會冠名贊助、運動燃希望基金贊助，中國香港體育協會暨奧林匹克委員會及香港體育記者協會鼎力支持的「傑出青少年運動員選舉」，昨天舉行了2024年第3季頒獎典禮，劉弦、王鎧澄奪得傑出青少年運動員殊榮，以表揚劉弦在「2024年世界青少年女子高爾夫錦標賽」勇奪個人賽銅牌，及王鎧澄在「2024年IMG學院青少年世界高爾夫球錦標賽」女子11-12歲組別獲得第二名的佳績。
王鎧澄表示：「首先，我要感謝體院頒發這個獎項給我，這對我來說是很大的鼓舞。我也非常感謝中國香港高爾夫球協會對我的支持，特別是賴以尊先生和鄧子鏗先生。他們讓我更理解如何成為一名傑出的運動員。 我自三歲起便參與這項運動，並參加了各種比賽；成績有好有壞，但我從未想過放棄。因為我熱愛這項運動。」

Arianna Lau and Sabrina Wong have been recognised for recent results at the Outstanding Junior Athletes Awards (OJAA) which covered the third quarter of 2024.
Lau - now ranked a career-high 48th in the world - picked up a certificate of achievement thanks to her bronze medal at the World Junior Girls Golf Championship 2024, while Wong was handed the same certificate after finishing second in the IMG Academy Junior World Golf Championships‘ Girls 11-12 tournament.
“First of all, I would like to thank the HKSI for giving me this award, which encourages me a lot. I am also very grateful to the Golf Association of Hong Kong, China for their support, especially Danny Lai and Tim Tang. They have made me more aware of how to become an outstanding athlete. I have been involved in this sport since I was three years old and have participated in various competitions. My results were a mix of good and bad, but I never thought of giving up for a moment. Because I love this game,” said Wong.
The quarterly awards are organised by the HKSI, title sponsored by Shine Tak Foundation, sponsored by the Sports for Hope Foundation (SFHF) and supported by the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) and the Hong Kong Sports Press Association (HKSPA).

丁慧中現正為女子歐巡賽的生活做好準備，在第二部份的訪談中，這位22歲的球員跟我們談到球僮所帶來的改變、在摩洛哥的最後一天，以及對未來的展望。
「每天醒來後，我都會全力以赴，打好每一球。顯然，精神上是很累的，但這就是我的處理方式。我也很緊張，但我會把緊張轉化為能量，全力以赴、充滿激情地應付比賽。」丁慧中說。

“Every single day, I woke up and played my heart out, every single shot. It was mentally tiring, obviously but that‘s how I approached it. Obviously, I was nervous, but I put nervous energy into playing my heart out and playing with passion,” says Ding.

Last Saturday, we held an Orientation Day featuring four comprehensive sessions. Sports Psychologist Karen Lo introduced sports psychology training, while Sam Pun provided an introduction to fitness training. GAHKC Head Coach, Tim Tang, presented the new ranking system for 2025, providing clarity and direction for our players. We concluded the day with an inspiring sharing session from guest speaker and former Hong Kong National team member, Virginie Ding.

丁慧中正式取得女子歐巡賽的全卡資格，提早為她帶來了一份聖誕禮物。
現年22歲的丁慧中實現了兒時的夢想，她一直在中國香港高爾夫球協會的幫助下遵循著已制定的計劃，如今她即將面臨在20多個國家上演的30場賽事。
「我帶著所有人對我的支持出戰女子歐巡賽的資格考試。我知道無論自己表現如何，未來都是光明的。那一週我感覺平靜、穩定，感覺肩上的壓力也消失了。這就是我交出好表現的關鍵。」丁慧中說。

Christmas came early for Ginnie Ding when she secured her card for the upcoming Ladies European Tour (LET) 2025 season.
The 22-year-old now has ahead of her 30 tournaments being staged in more than 20 countries after realising a dream Ding has had since childhood and after following a plan she put into place with the help of the Golf Association of Hong Kong, China.
“I went into LET Q School with this mindset of people having my back. I knew however I played, my future is bright. That week I felt calm, I felt steady, I felt like the pressure was lifted off of my shoulders. And that was the key to playing my best golf,” says Ding.
In the first of a two-part series, Ding talks to hkga.com about collecting her LET card after missing out at the LPGA Q School, and putting ”Project G“ into practice.
