Well I’ve got the AirPods Pro with much love from my beloved. Took while to deliver but loving them. Brilliant fit and sound amazing. Nice thing is I can play Plex stuff through them. Bit of mucking around getting that to work and I get the sound from my Bose system as well. The noise cancelling works pretty well too. Overall worth it!

Well I’ve finally given MacOS Mojave my official seal of approval! Although there are still no 3rd party apps that can repair directory damage on APFS such as Diskwarrior yet, I believe they’re on the way soon. Besides which I have tested using Time Machine and Carbon Copy Cloner HFS+ backups and Diskwarrior 5.2 and found no serious directory damage so I’ve clean installed on my MacBook Pro 2012 13”with home-brewed Fusion drive and encryption and will do the same on my IMac 2015 once my eyes improve.

This is odd - I was under the impression MS Office 2011 wouldn’t work under Mojave. They do except no more updates. I use them so rarely I don’t really care!

iOS 13.1 out today - that’s quick!

For iOS 13 I would download onto computer not over air for any major release. Way faster. Look for a site that has .ipsw file for your iPhone.

Well I'm trying to restore to 12.3.1 but the iTunes progress bar impossible to see if anything actually happening or not! Still says time remaining 2 hrs but impossible to tell! Well 2 hrs later it has finally worked but now it seems pointless to use iTunes 12.6.5 because it still insists on re-downloading every app. So when that will finish God knows and then they will all need to be rearranged as well.

After seeing reports on previews of the new Apple macOS Cortana, I’m afraid I’m not moving beyond MacOS High Sierra. Mojave in my opinion is a pathetic disaster and the new file system APFS still undocumented so nothing like DiskWarrior can be updated. That obnoxious overrated prick “Sir” Johnny Ive has “resigned” rather been “pushed”. Why a product designer was put in charge of software I’ve no idea? Even his recent product designs notably the “dustbin” Mac Pro and MacBook Pro’s are complete rubbish. iPhones are ridiculously overpriced and produced by slave labour. Apple are finished except for overpriced trinkets and as a computer company dead in the water. What a shame! At least Steve Jobs had a vision. Tim Cook should go as well. Bye, bye Apple! And my deepest condolences to all the hard working and creative developers who’ve made some great products over the years.
