While waiting for the spare parts to arrive, I managed to join a friend for some offshore fishing. We set out from H**e Haven on a 20-foot catamaran, skillfully dodging persistent rain showers as we headed to the Nine Pins. When we arrived, several boats were already in the area, either hand-lining or slow trolling. We quickly set up five rods and steered towards a flock of birds. As we got close, we caught our first fish—a Chinese mackerel (Seerfish) that took a diving squid.

With the lines back in the water, we found the school hadn't moved far, and we soon hooked another, this time on an H2O Pro Swallowtail lure in black and purple. Although the school became wary of us, we kept trolling around the area, knowing they were still nearby. A little later, we discovered one of the lures had been bitten off, so we rigged a deep diver in its place. Shortly after, the deep diver was hit, the rod bent over, and the reel screamed as the fight was on. After several runs, we brought the fish to the boat.

With heavy rain approaching, we decided to head back to the dock, wrapping up our fishing trip after just two and a half hours.

Boat update
Boat is now operational and we are now taking bookings. We do have places available on Sunday 23rd. If you can make it let us know soonest

Just a quick update, spares have arrived and will be installed this week with sea trials on Thursday and Friday. All being well we will be out fishing on Saturday.

10kg Mahi Mahi came up to look at the dredge before taking a Pink White soft head just off to the side. Dredge proved it self on day one. Whilst bring it in on day two a large school of Mahi were chasing it.

Finally a break in the weather. A light breeze slight seas and fish. 1 amberjack 1 Kawa Kawa tuna 15 Mahi Mahi. Great to be out on the water again
