Some updates from Freestyle Football Federation:

Who will be the official World Freestyle Football Champion of 2013?
The F3 World Tour will finally get started on Friday 3rd May 2013 from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates in which the highest ranked freestyle footballers in the world will battle it out, head to head, to try and become World Champion by the end of the year.
This event will be the first of 6 in 2013, to which the same 16 athletes will travel and compete against each other, accumulating points based on where they finish and the ultimate champion will be revealed at the end of the tour.
It is a system developed by the world governing body, the Freestyle Football Federation (F3) and each of the live events will be filmed for TV as the sport is taken to the next level.
F3 Vice President Lucaso explains ‘F3WT is something that our sport deserves. It is the perfect way to show media, sponsors and the general public that this sport is not just ‘football juggling’ and that it’s a serious sport participated by professional athletes who make a full time living out of it. F3WT is going to get bigger every year and I am very excited to see it grow’.
From F3’s perspective, the definition of a World Champion is the complete all-rounder. So the F3 World Tour is developed to ensure that to win it, freestylers must be able to perform and choreograph creatively, but also compete head to head at the highest level. Even harder than this combined, is to sustain this over the course of a year making sure that every event is different and fresh.
Please contact F3 at any time if you would like to or are planning to organise an event in 2013 or beyond and we will provide as much support as possible.
The F3 board will be meeting in Dubai at the F3WT opening event between 28th April – 4th May, so if you or anyone else from your country would like to visit also, we will help to secure the cheapest travel and accommodation solutions for you.
One other major area that needs some support is for the female freestyle scene. From the 2789 freestyler we have identified so far in the world, there are only 88 female within that. Laura, Kitti and Melody and putting together online competitions very well, so please do everything you can to support them too.
Keep spreading the word of freestyle – remember our collective missions: ‘To grow awareness and participation in freestyle football’.
