Chong wins on Wimbledon debut

Eudice Chong/Anastasia Tikhonova saved 12 of 15 break points and produced four mini-breaks in the second set tiebreak to beat Elisabetta Cocciaretto/Ann Li (ITA/USA) 6-3 7-6(3) in the opening round of the ladies' doubles. Next up, they will face either No. 7 seed Laura Siegemund/Vera Zvonareva or British wildcard entry Madelaine Brooks/Amelia Rajecki.

清水灣鄉村俱樂部委任黃澤林為網球大使 - 香港文匯網 清水灣鄉村俱樂部宣佈，香港網球精英運動員黃澤林出任該會網球大使，繼續履行致力發展網球運動，並鼓勵更多會員參與的承諾。

本會一直致力推廣本地體育運動發展，亦歇盡可能為各體育總會提供協力、支援。6 月11日，我們第六度與中國香港網球會合作舉辦中國香港網球總會基金慈善高爾夫球賽。此外，我們於當天為24位本地小學生舉辦了網球、高爾夫球及匹克球體驗班，以及另外9位來自特殊學校的同學舉辦網球體驗班。

多謝各贊助商、善長及參加賽事的108位高球手的鼎力支持，當日籌得逾70萬港元，為本地的弱勢青少年及社群提供參與網球的機會，從而支持網球的可持續發展。

很高興清水灣成為推動本地網球發展的一分子，我們亦藉此機會向各位贊助商、善長及高球手講聲多謝!

As a keen advocate of local sport development, we always support the local national sports association as best as we can. On 11 June, we collaborated with HKCTA to hold a charity golf tournament to raise for their Foundation. To complement the fundraiser, we also arranged experiential sessions of tennis, golf and pickleball for 24 local primary school students, and another tennis experiential session for 9 students from a SEN (special education needs) school.

Thanks to the support of sponsors, donors and the 108 golfers on-site, the event managed to raise over $700,000 help the underprivileged youth and the wider community to experience tennis and support the continued development of the sport in Hong Kong.

We are pleased to be part of the mission to empower local underprivileged youth through sports. A big shot out to all sponsors, donors and golfers to make this fundraiser a success!

年僅16歲的港隊年輕小將在上週五的「Albert K W Lai青少年錦標賽」連續第3年奪冠。翌日更傳來喜訊：他成功入選今年「青少年總統盃」的國際隊陣容。

Ethan Tian Jun will be looking to maintain his impressive recent form as the local scene rolls into next Hong Kong Close Amateur & Mid Amateur Championships, being played out across The Hong Kong Golf Club from June 16-18.
The 16-year-old captured a third straight title at the Albert K W Lai Junior Tournament last Friday, and the following day the news landed that he’s played his way on to the international squad for this year’s prestigious Junior Presidents Cup team tournament.
“I’ve been playing well lately which gives me confidence heading into the next few weeks,” says Tian.
