Clarification Regarding the Misuse of Commemorative Medals and Certificates from
the “WBC Amazing Muay Thai Festival 2026”
During the “WBC Amazing Muay Thai Festival 2026” , WBC Headquarters presented gold medals and certificates to certain individuals as a token of appreciation for their contribution to the event.
These items were purely commemorative in nature and did not represent any competition ranking, membership certification, or any form of official endorsement or authorization by WBC Headquarters or WBC Muay Thai Greater China.
No individual or organization may use, issue, or transfer the above-mentioned commemorative medals and certificates under the name of WBC without prior approval and authorization from WBC Headquarters and WBC MuayThai Greater China.
Such medals and certificates must not be presented or interpreted as an official recognition, endorsement, or commendation from WBC Headquarters to any individual, gym, or coach.
Any unauthorized use, distribution, or promotion of such items may cause public misunderstanding, damage the professional image and credibility of WBC, and shall not represent the position or authorization of WBC Headquarters or WBC MuayThai Greater China.
In light of this, WBC Headquarters and WBC Muay Thai Greater China wish to formally clarify the following:
1. Nature of the Commemorative Items The gold medals and certificates presented during the “WBC Amazing Muay Thai Festival 2026” were solely tokens of appreciation for individual contributions to that event.
They do not represent any competition result,
membership status, gym or coach certification, or any form of recognition, authorization, or endorsement by WBC Headquarters or WBC Muay Thai Greater China.
2. Unauthorized Transfer and Misrepresentation
Neither WBC Headquarters nor WBC Muay Thai Greater China has authorized any individual to transfer, award, or present the aforementioned commemorative items to any third party — including gyms and coaches who are not
WBC members — nor has any such act received official recognition.
Any individual who, without prior written authorization from WBC Headquarters or WBC Muay Thai Greater China, awards, transfers, or distributes any WBC-related medals, certificates, or logos in the name of WBC does so without authorization, and such actions do not represent the position of WBC Headquarters or WBC Muay Thai Greater China.
3. Intellectual Property Notice All names, logos, medal designs, certificate templates, and related identifying marks of WBC and WBC Muay Thai
are the intellectual property of WBC and are protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws. No individual or organization may use, reproduce, produce, display, issue, or distribute any WBC or WBC Muay Thai
medals, certificates, logos, or promotional materials without prior written authorization from WBC Headquarters or WBC Muay Thai Greater China.
4. Position of Neutrality
This statement is issued solely to clarify the official position of WBC Headquarters and WBC Muay Thai Greater China, and to protect the integrity of the WBC brand and the interests of its members and athletes. It is not directed at, nor does it accuse, any specific individual or organization. WBC Muay Thai Greater China maintains a position of neutrality in this matter.
5. Verification Enquiries
Members of the public, media, gyms, coaches, or athletes who have questions regarding the authenticity of any award, certificate, or title purportedly issued by “WBC” or “WBC Muay Thai”
are welcome to verify such matters through official channels.
6. Reservation of Rights
WBC Headquarters and WBC Muay Thai Greater China reserve all legal rights and remedies, including but not limited to civil and criminal action, in respect of any unauthorized use of the WBC name, logo, or related intellectual property.
