3. Unlock any routes. Routes provided: Green Walk at Central and Western District, Kowloon Waterworks Heritage Trail, Tai Tam Waterworks Heritage Trail (Each route is priced at HK$8 )
4. Visit the checkpoints physically
5. Use the QR code scanner in the APP and scan the QR code at the checkpoint
6. Complete the assigned tasks to have a chance of receiving a Slowood e-coupon / souvenir and electronic certificate!

香港的水從那裡來?💧

香港政府自1863年以來一直在建造水庫，為我們儲存淡水🌧。最古老的水庫是建於1863年的薄扶林水庫，而最大的水庫是萬宜水庫，可儲存多達2.81億立方米的水。

然而，需求大於供應，在1963年，香港經歷了嚴重的干旱🔥，當時水庫只剩下2%的水，政府發起了制水，市民每四天只有四小時可以得到水🤯。

從那時起，香港政府就開始從中國大陸購買淡水 - "東江水"💰，今天，八成以上香港淡水供應也是來自於東江水⬆️。

世界每一天都在變，我們永遠不知道下一次乾旱會在什麼時候發生☄️，所以如果你不希望經歷停水，今天就設法節約用水吧💪🏻！從盡量減少用水量開始，由縮短淋浴時間🛁、又或是不再浪費食物開始🍚。你的每一小步，都對這地球有幫助🌎。

Where does the water come from in Hong Kong? 💧

The Hong Kong government has been building reservoirs since 1863 to store freshwater for us🌧. The oldest reservoir is Pokfulam Reservoir which was built in 1863 while the biggest one is High Island Reservoir which can store up to 281 Million Cubic Metre of water.

However, demand is over the supply and in 1963, Hong Kong was experiencing a serious drought 🔥 in which only 2% of water was left in reservoirs and the public could only get water for four hours every four days🤯.

Since then, the Hong Kong government has been buying freshwater – “Dongjiang Water” from mainland China 💰 and it accounts for more than 80% of the freshwater supply in Hong Kong today. ⬆️

We never know when the next drought will be☄️ so if you do not wish to experience a water outage, try to save water today! We all can start by minimizing our shower time🛁 or stop wasting food🍚. Every little step helps.🌎

👣炭足印就聽得多，你有聽過水足印嗎？💧
水足印其實是一個衡量用水的指標，計算產品、個人、企業，以至國家的耗水量，而當中更分為直接及間接的淡水消耗總量。

01 直接水足印🛁
即是平時大家見到嘅淡水用水量，例如沖涼、洗碗、洗衣服等等的用水量🧼。

02 間接水足印🪣
即是平時大家見唔到嘅淡水用水量，例如一塊16安士牛扒，由飼養到製作，一共要用到8,000公升水去🍗/一件T-Shirt由生產到給顧客購買並享用則需用到4,100公升水👕。

🌍身處於香港的我們，因輕易得到乾淨的飲用水💧，可能對於用水的意識亦相對薄弱。但你知道嗎，水雖然是可再生能源，但全球只有2.5%是淡水🤯；如果繼續毫無節制地消耗，有天也會出現水資源危機🆘，而多於7.3億人已生活在缺水嚴重且危急的國家。其實在我們的日常生活中，我們也能為節省用水出一分力 (例如: 降低沐浴時間、珍惜食物 等等)

👣We always talk about Carbon Footprint, how about Water Footprint? Have you ever heard of it?💧

Water Footprint is actually a measurement of freshwater usage, calculating the total freshwater used for different products, individuals, corporates or even countries. It divides into direct and indirect freshwater use.

01 Direct Water Footprint 🛁
It calculates the water usage we can see. For example, the water we use for showers, dishes and laundry. 🧼

02 Indirect Water Footprint 🪣
It calculates the water usage we cannot see. For example, a 16oz steak actually takes up to 8,000 Liters 🍗 and a T-shirt takes up to 4,100 Liters from start to finish.👕

🌍We are based in Hong Kong and clean water is accessible to all of us but it will not be the case if we take it for granted. Only 2.5% of the water on Earth is freshwater 🤯 and more than 733 million people are water insecure around the world. 🆘
