T-1 Week to the 50th Stanley International Dragon Boat Races 🚣🏼‍♀️

Since the 1960s, the Stanley dragon boat races have evolved from prayer rituals at the Tin Hau Temple to the grand international competition that it is at Stanley Main Beach today. The Stanley Dragon Boat Association has witnessed the evolution of this world-class sporting event from humble village traditions to become the “Cradle of Dragon Boat Athletes”.

SMUGz trains biweekly at Stanley, and we’re so excited to paddle with the world’s best in Hong Kong this year! 🦍

As we gear up for the main event next month, the always fun Stanley Warm-Up Races on Saturday saw SMUGz bring home two trophies! Second 🥈 overall in the Mixed Small Boat competition and a Gold Cup Final appearance in the Mixed Standard boats 💪
