Facing a strong and well-organised Gyeonggi Water Polo Team from South Korea, WREKCS battled hard throughout the match, eventually finishing with a score of 5-15.

With several players unavailable, WREKCS entered the game without a full squad, making the challenge even greater against an experienced opponent. Despite the circumstances, every player stepped up, gave their all, and continued to compete with determination until the final whistle.

There were no shortcuts, no excuses, and no surrender. The team continued to fight for every possession, every defensive stop, and every goal, demonstrating the resilience and character that define WREKCS.

WREKCS opened our tournament campaign with a strong 10-6 victory over Shine Water Polo Club from Sichuan, China, earning an important first win on the Asia Pacific stage.

Facing a youthful and energetic Shine squad, our players demonstrated resilience, teamwork and determination throughout the match. After a closely contested opening period, WREKCS gradually took control of the game with disciplined defence, effective ball movement and clinical finishing in front of goal.

🌊 Wrecks Water Polo Club Navigates Rough Currents in Quarter-Final and Classification Battles 🌊

Wrecks Water Polo Club continued their debut journey at the 24th Asia Pacific Water Polo Tournament with courage and composure through a day of high-stakes competition.

In the quarter-final against Happy Valley Athletic Association, Wrecks started strong, keeping the score tight at 4–6 by halftime. But as the second half unfolded, the tide turned sharply, and the match concluded at 4–12. Despite the result, the team showed heart and unity in every play.

Later in the day, Wrecks returned to the pool for the 5th–8th place classification match, once again facing Shine Water Polo Club. The game took an unexpected course—like navigating through shifting currents and unseen undertows. Yet, Wrecks held steady, showing remarkable sportsmanship and emotional intelligence, narrowing the gap to just 1 goal and earning a place in the 5th place match tomorrow.

Wrecks is immensely proud of every player’s composure and character in the face of adversity. These moments remind us why we play—not just to win, but to grow, to lead, and to inspire.
