Summer break’s finally over and everyone’s back in their normal routine! So happy to see all of them back together, this term we’re starting strong and full of energy! We’re looking forward to seeing their growth and achievements this year! :) U&I Fighting!! 💪🏻💪🏻😊

✨ U&I 4th Dan Black Belts - Jiho Lee and Michael Hu✨

I would like to proudly celebrate two very special achievements over the summer by our students - Jiho Lee and Michael Hu, who reached a huge milestone by earning their 4th Dan Black Belt! 🥋🔥

On World Taekwondo Day, we honour not only their success but also the values that inspire us all to keep striving for excellence.

Jiho started Taekwondo with us at just 3 years old and has continued training with incredible dedication, balancing schoolwork and training year after year. Throughout his journey, his passion extended far beyond the mats. He not only formed his own Taekwondo club at school but also took the initiative to offer classes to the community, sharing his dedication and skills with others. It’s worth noting that he has been dedicated to Taekwondo since the age of 3 and has never stopped!

Michael, now a college student at NYU, took a brief break from Taekwondo during his sophomore year. However, he reignited his passion and trained intensely over the summer to achieve his goal while also competing at the university level.

I’ve watched both of them grow up—literally from little boys to now towering at least a head taller than me! Over the years, they’ve not only developed their Taekwondo skills but also grown into such responsible, hardworking, and diligent young men. Their passion hasn’t changed, and their determination is truly inspiring.

Beyond the skills and discipline of Taekwondo, I hope they’ve also gained life lessons that will help them persevere and overcome any challenges ahead. 💪

We are so proud of you both—this achievement is just the beginning of even greater things to come. 🌟

🌟 Congratulations to Johnathan Sun on winning a Bronze Medal at the European University Games! 🌟

This one feels truly special to me because his journey started right here with us in HK at U&I Korea Taekwondo. He was like a son to me — always at the dojang, following us around, often coming straight from school still in his uniform and staying behind until we closed. I meger really saw him do any homework at the dojang, yet somehow he always managed to study, finish his work, but still gotten into one of the top medical schools in the UK, King’s College London!

Since starting Taekwondo at 13, he has poured his heart into training. Later, even after moving to the UK for boarding school and medical studies, he never stopped chasing his love for Taekwondo. He self-taught freestyle poomsae, practiced tirelessly despite the workload of a medical student, and took every opportunity to compete locally and internationally.

Last November, he proudly represented Team Australia at the World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships right here in Hong Kong. And now, becoming the first U&I student ever to medal overseas in freestyle poomsae, he has made history for our dojang.

I am beyond proud of his achievements, but even more so of his indomitable spirit 💪. His journey is an inspiration to all our students — a reminder that with dedication, discipline, and determination, you can achieve greatness while staying true to what you love.

🌟 Competition Weekend Recap 15/8-17/8🌟

What a weekend it has been in Macau!! 🏆 We couldn’t be prouder of everyone’s hard work, dedication, and teamwork. 💪

Watching this team grow into one big supportive family has been the real win for us. 🥹 From cheering each other on to giving it our all, every moment was unforgettable.
