While diving around Hvar, we came across this impressive shell standing proudly on the seabed. At first glance, identifying the exact species may look easy but underwater, the details can be surprisingly tricky.

The Adriatic Sea is full of fascinating marine life, and moments like this are exactly why we never get tired of exploring the underwater world of Brač and Hvar.

A big week, a great team and the Adriatic Sea full of diving adventures! 🇷🇸🌊

This week at Diving Dolphin Bol, we have the pleasure of hosting a large group of our diving friends from Serbia and we’re running at full power from morning to afternoon.

Boats are heading out, tanks are being filled, equipment is ready, and every day brings another chance to explore some of the most beautiful dive sites around Bol, Brač and Hvar.

For us, scuba diving is not only about what happens underwater. It’s also about the people you meet, the friendships you build and the memories you bring back to the surface.

And with a group like this, we already know it’s going to be a very special week.

🐟 BLINK AND YOU’LL MISS IT… CAN YOU SPOT THE GROUPER?

The Adriatic Sea has a way of hiding its best surprises exactly where you least expect them.

We were diving between the rocky formations around Brač when, for just a moment, something moved between the rocks…

A grouper. 👀

No dramatic entrance. No posing for the camera. Just a quick appearance before disappearing back into its underwater world.

And now we have a challenge for you:

🌊 TWO DIVE SITES. ONE INCREDIBLE ADRIATIC ADVENTURE.

What happens when you combine two spectacular dive sites in one video? You get a glimpse of why scuba diving around Brač and Hvar never gets boring. 🤿

This time we’re taking you underwater at Smočiguzica and Light House, Hvar two locations, two different atmospheres and one crystal-clear Adriatic Sea.

🌙 Would you swim this close to a conger eel at night?

When the sun disappears behind the Adriatic, a completely different underwater world begins to wake up…

During a night dive in Bol, our torch suddenly revealed one of the most impressive nocturnal residents of the Adriatic Sea a conger eel. 🐍🌊

During the day, conger eels often remain hidden deep between rocks and inside crevices. But after dark, they become much more active, leaving their shelters to explore and hunt.

And seeing one underwater at night is something completely different.

There’s darkness all around you. Only the beam of your dive light shows what’s ahead. You slowly move along the rocky seabed… and suddenly a large conger eel appears in front of you.

This is exactly what makes night diving in Croatia so addictive. You can dive at a place you already know and still feel like you’re discovering it for the first time.

🌙 WHEN DARKNESS FALLS, THE HUNT BEGINS… 🐙

During the day, the Adriatic Sea is beautiful. But after sunset, it becomes a completely different world.

On one of our night dives in Bol, Brač, we came across an octopus doing exactly what it does best after dark - hunting.

Moving silently across the seafloor, exploring every rock and crevice, changing its appearance in seconds… it was completely focused on finding its next meal. And we had a front-row seat.

This is one of the reasons we love night diving so much. You enter a dive site you may already know, but once your torch becomes your only window into the underwater world, everything feels new again.

Different creatures emerge. Shadows start moving. Every beam of light can reveal something unexpected.

And sometimes… you find yourself following one of the Adriatic’s most intelligent predators during its nighttime hunt. 🐙
