The ocean is not our playground—it's home to countless incredible creatures, including seahorses 🪸
If you're lucky enough to spot a seahorse while snorkeling or diving, admire it from a respectful distance. Avoid touching, picking up, or repositioning it for a photo. Even gentle handling can cause stress, damage their delicate skin, disrupt feeding, or expose them to predators.
The best wildlife encounters happen when we let nature be natural. Observe patiently, take photos without interfering, and leave the habitat exactly as you found it.

FIGHT THE GROWING THREAT: the invasion of lionfish. Originally native to the Indo-Pacific, these striking but venomous fish have rapidly spread through Mediterranean waters, disrupting fragile marine ecosystems.
⚠️ Why is this a problem?
🔹 Lionfish are voracious predators, feeding on a wide variety of native fish and crustaceans.
🔹 They reproduce quickly, allowing populations to explode in a short time.
🔹 Native Mediterranean species have few natural defenses against them, leading to declining biodiversity.
As sea temperatures rise and marine habitats change, invasive species like lionfish are finding new opportunities to thrive.
🌍 Protecting the Adriatic requires monitoring invasive species, supporting scientific research, and raising public awareness about their impact 💪💪💪
