Today, just like every week before, we did a thorough cleanup of Brač beaches with our divers and young ecologists. From arriving at the polluted beach to evacuating around a hundred kg of plastic onto our diving yacht SAL.

This is our next task: removing a long "ghost nets" from Cape Tatinja on the island of Brač, at a depth of 20 to 40 meters. The net has covered the entire underwater vertical reef and has been trapping marine life for months. This operation requires serious preparation. We are looking for helpers and willing official services from the island of Brač or the Split-Dalmatia County to support us. Video in the next post!"

Every week for 6 months a year since 2017, Calypso Scub Diving have been removing huge amounts of plastic waste from the sea and beaches. Last week, we achieved another fantastic result—we removed 150 kg of plastic and bulky waste from Vruja and Tatinja on the island of Brač."
