Dear P**a Players💖
Now that the 64th P**a Bridge Festival is over, once again I would like to thank you all for participating. 545 players from 30 countries is no small thing and I am so grateful that you still recognize P**a as a place worth spending your time.
What is especially important to me is that we have more and more junior players each year, and they are now becoming the most powerful force of the festival. We are here to support you, encourage you and help you grow into competent, ethical and passionate bridge players.
Once again, I would like to thank everyone who helped organize and run the P**a Festival: Our tournament directors — Herman, Matt, Pawel and Duško, with Adam as chief TD; Kiki and Jurica for everything that needs to be done; Ogi for computing; Vanja for preparing the hands; Šimec and Tin for BBO; Vjeko for the bulletin; Pia, Šafar and Amon for social media; Jurica, Filip, Niko, Frane, Tin, Linh, Beni, Asa and Dina as caddies; Kisha, Sandra, Doga, Mimi, Mirna, Zsofia and Ginus for organizing and running the social events; Olgu for souvenir distribution; and, of course, Ervin, who was always around and ready to help with everything.
I would also like to thank Gregorz, Anneke, Marshall and Mats for continuously promoting the festival, as well as the Croatian, Slovenian, Polish and Hungarian bridge federations, Zagreb Bridge Association and Opatija Bridge Club for helping us with promotion and equipment.
I believe we managed to create some life long memories and I am looking forward to see you in P**a '27!

On Saturday evening, we held the Victory Ceremony of the 64th P**a Bridge Festival. Trophies were presented to the best players and teams from all the tournaments, while the title of Player of the Festival was, among 545 players from 30 countries, awarded to Matko Ferenca, a Croatian U31 player and member of the Croatian national team.

Matko truly reflected the spirit of the P**a Bridge Festival. He played in every tournament this year, each time with a different partner, from Croatia and abroad. Along the way, he won the IMP Pairs, finished second in the Mixed Pairs and fourth in the Main Teams. Matko took part in the social side of P**a as well, joining the PuBridge Quiz and karaoke party, and he also helped with the preparations and running of the festival.

On Friday and Saturday, we played BRK Open Pairs, consisting of six mini-sessions of 10 boards each.
Grzegorz Narkiewicz & Piotr Marcinowski won convincingly, scoring above 60% in every session — and above 70% in three of them!
Second place went to the Dutch pair Rob Walker & Ton Lucassen, while Milorad Radojević & Mihailo Simić of Serbia finished third.

They were followed in second place by Slam Drunk, a Hungarian-Dutch combination consisting of Peter Marjai, Benjamin Zabradi, Wout Klarenbeek and Sibrand van Oosten.
Third place went to Tosca, represented by Rob Linderman, Jan Jansma, Joris van Lankveld and Berend van den Bos.

Tonight at 9.30 PM, we will host our traditional PuBridge Quiz at Restaurant Kuglana, just 30 metres from the venue. This is already the 4th edition of the quiz, and it has been growing ever since we started!

Teams will compete in a variety of questions related to bridge, cards, P**a and much more. This year, we have six thematic sections: Current Affairs, Music, Movies, Anagrams, Literature and Mix.

Teams should consist of 4–8 players, and all teams must register online at pulabridgefestival.com by 8.30 PM tonight.

IMPORTANT: Come earlier to make sure you get your table!

A little strategic advice: international and intergenerational teams are highly recommended, as some questions require country-specific knowledge. And players from the ex-Yu area may prove particularly valuable — get one!

Entry is free, and the winners will be rewarded with free drinks.

Mobile phones and other electronic devices are, of course, not allowed during the quiz. Your brain is the only device you may use.

We expect to finish by midnight, but you are very welcome to stay for drinks afterwards.

Gather your team and see you tonight at Kuglana! We are limitted to 20 teams!
