Video by @northernstar_yoga ⠀ It’s all in the lean forward to recruit your core strength! 😜 ⠀ I know L-sit does require some hip flexor, core and shoulder strength. But it’s also technique!! And that is something we can work on! :) ⠀ Put your hands next to your thighs, approx midway between hips and knees. Then lean forward as if you want to come into a forward fold. Start to round your upper back, chest is hollow, navel pulls to spine. Now straighten the arms, stay forward, and push the ground away to lift your hips up and backwards behind you. Push some more!! Your core shoulder work a lot at this point! If you can go this far, work on lifting one leg up, then the other. ⠀ If you stay in the forward position with your chest you can efficiently bring your core into action as opposed to sitting straight up with the heavy load of the legs in front.
