To FONDAPS, "educate" means to help these young people to bloom, to encourage them and to stimulate them so that they develop themselves intellectually, to train them physically but especially to inculcate them essential principles and values such as: Charity, Discipline, Respect for each other , Team spirit and Solidarity. We also bring to them, thanks to partners such as Food For The Poor, FES FOOD, Deka Group and others , food and clothing aids, and we also try to improve their comfort (ex: donations of mattress). Before January 12th, a school based in Solino welcomed more than 600 girls and boys from 7 to 15 years old and our partnerships with Sodipal and the Rhum Barbancourt company allowed us to help respectively 60 and 100 more boys , from 9 to 16 years old. But since the earthquake of the beginning of the year, the grounds of Solino and Barbancourt occupied by shelters, became impracticable and we cannot count anymore on most of our partners consisted essentially of local companies or of men and women willing to help and who were living in Haiti, because they were affected by this disaster too! Help us to continue this work and not to let these children down! The money and structural troubles we are confronting today, we cannot manage to surmount them without YOU!
