Tudtad, hogy a régi, rossz állapotú agyak sem biztos, hogy a kukában végzik? A képeken egy ritka szovjet agypár felújítását láthatod. Ezeknek az alkatrészei például a korabeli Campagnolokhoz hasonlóan nagyon nehezen pótolhatók, így az eredetit érdemes megmenteni. A csészéi jó allapotúak voltak, viszont a kónuszokon mély kráterek voltak, így fel kellett köszörülni. Ezek általában "telibe" edzettek, így a az új, köszörült felület ugyanolyan erős, mint az eredeti. Ezután következett némi polírozás, kapott új golyókat, és úgy forog, akár új korában.

Did you know, that old, rough hubs dont have to end in the trash bin? On the pictures you can see the renovation of a rare soviet hubset. Its pretty hard to find replacement parts for these, just like for older Campagnolo stuff, so its better to save the original ones. The hub races were in good shape, but the cones had some bad pitting, so they needed to be grinded back. They are mostly hardened all the way, so the freshly grinded surface is just as strong as the original. After that, they need to be polished, they got some new balls, and rolls just like new.
