The Hungarian and Slovak Ice Hockey Federations in cooperation brought to life in 2017 the Visegrad Cup, which started competition in August of that year.
Our goal for the cup was to go in a new direction where the level of competition would be high and that the teams from both countries could take a step forward and to help each other to become better. This will be the third season of the competition. In the first season the Hungarian club DVTK Jegesmedvék made it to the finals with MAC Budapest playing in the semi-finals.
