Samantekt frá heimsmeistaramótinu sem fór fram fyrr í mánuðinum

2016 World Synchronized Skating Championships Top seven teams from the 2016 ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships held in Budapest, Hungary from April 8-9. 1. Team Russia 1 (Paradise) 2. Team Finl...

Í gær lauk heimsmeistaramótinu í samhæfðum skautadansi sem fram fór í Búdapest í Ungverjalandi.

Í fyrsta skipti í sögu þessarar íþróttar lönduðu rússar - Team Paradise, heimsmeistaratitlinum en þær hafa verið á mikilli uppleið síðustu ár.

Keppnin var spennandi þar sem Rockettes frá Finlandi unnu frjálsa prógramið, en þar sem þær voru í 3.sæti eftir stutta og rússar með það mikla forystu enduðu þær í 2.sæti. Haydenettes frá Bandaríkjunum enduðu í 3.sæti eftir 2 góða daga.

A new ISU World Synchronized Skating Champion has been crowned. Canada passes the baton to RUSSIA and they will carry this prestigious title for 2016. Congratulations to Finland and the USA for achieving silver and bronze podium finishes. On the day after , teams and families will disperse; some will head home with dreams realized and new personal bests and others with maybe some disappointment and a determination to reach even higher. For certain, all say goodbye to the 2015/2016 season with a flood of unforgettable memories, friendship and the satisfaction of a journey of hard work and dedication to their sport. To all of the skaters and teams we say "thank you" for giving us the pleasure of enjoying your incredible, individual and creative programs -- no two the same. is on the move; growing and developing year by year.

Competition day is over and we got 4th place out of 13 teams with only 0,39 points between us and the team that finished in 3rd place.....little bittersweet but hey what can you do! We had a good skate and are very happy about our performance 💪😊

We had our official practise today and it went very well 💪 we are all super ready to show our program later today 🎉 now it's mental and make up prepair 🏆 don't forget to watch us on the live stream at 13:00 icelandic time (14:00 budapest time).
