Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida is widely considered one of the greatest athletes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu history. He won 13 IBJJF World Championship titles at black belt, along with multiple weight class and absolute division titles, becoming the most decorated IBJJF World Champion of the modern era.
He is also an ADCC World Champion (the most prestigious no-gi grappling tournament) and later transitioned to MMA, competing in ONE Championship.
His historic record of world titles earned him official recognition by the Guinness World Records as the athlete with the most IBJJF World Championship gold medals at black belt.
Buchecha represents excellence, dominance, and legacy in the sport.
