A fiatalok képzését tartom a legesszenciálisabb feladatomnak mind közül!

I had the opportunity to teach Hungarian young people from communities beyond Hungary’s borders as part of an ERASMUS camp, at an event organized by the Petneházy Foundation.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank them once again for the invitation — it was an absolutely fantastic experience! I am always happy to say yes to opportunities like this.

On the first day, I gave a presentation on the legal aspects of self-defense. The first part of the training was theoretical: I gave a presentation while we discussed different experiences and situations related to the topic. We explored the physical, psychological, and legal aspects of self-defense.

I really enjoy sharing practical experience in situations like this and speaking directly to young people, so that they can gain knowledge that may one day prove valuable to them in an emergency.

I consider educating and empowering young people to be one of the most essential responsibilities of all.

During the practical session, we worked through various self-defense scenarios. I taught the young participants what an effective warm-up should look like, why it is important, and what key points they should pay attention to. We also practiced punching and kicking techniques and then applied them in practical exercises and realistic situations.

I gained so many wonderful experiences from this event. Once again, thank you very much for the invitation and for such a positive and memorable experience! It was a real pleasure to share my knowledge with these young people.

Teázási ceremónia az EBMAS Hungary központi termében

Az elmúlt hétvége nagyon intenzív volt. Ebbe a hétvégébe sűrítettük be a nyár folyamán elmaradt két intenzív kiscsoportos szemináriumot.

Tea Ceremony at the EBMAS Hungary Headquarters

The past weekend was very intense. We managed to fit in two intensive small-group seminars that had been postponed during the summer. One focused on the Chum Kiu form, including all of its important applications and the related sequences. The other was the second part of the small-group training series on the six-and-a-half-point long pole technique. Both small-group sessions had been postponed since the beginning of summer due to training camps and other commitments.

We finally managed to schedule both sessions, and, as it turned out, we were able to fit everything into a single weekend. This meant that over the course of two days, we spent a total of 10 hours training kung fu, and it was very intense!

We concluded the weekend and our kung fu training sessions with a tea ceremony, in a small and intimate gathering with a few of my close students. One of them had recently returned from a three-week trip around China, so we were able to enjoy the pleasure of sharing tea together, accompanied by some souvenirs from the journey and some Pu-erh tea.

Did you know, Bruce Lee was famously reported to have the extraordinary ability to hold a 75-pound barbell straight out at arm's length (A STANDING FORWARD PRESS LOCKOUT ) for extended periods of time.

Told by Joe Lewis,
American martial artist and professional kickboxer who stood at 6 feet weighing 200 lbs.

Joe Lewis: said, Bruce Lee would grab 75-pound barbell. Then in the standing position ( Not in the sitting or lying position ) put the barbell against his chest with the hands palms facing downward. Then in slow motion stretching both arms in front of his chest and holding it there for at least 20 seconds [suspended in a standing Press lock out . ] Try it. I know who can't even get it out there.

I spent the weekend in Debrecen, visiting my former student, Sihing István Soós. We talked about Wing Tsun Kung Fu and took the opportunity to do a little training alongside our conversation.

One of the beautiful things about kung fu, besides the practice and teaching, is being part of a brilliant and unparalleled international community. I have the opportunity to connect with people who share the same love and passion for kung fu that I do.

Thank you so much, Pisti, for the beautiful pair of Bart Cham Dao that you gave me, and thank you for your warm hospitality!
