Whiplasher Palinka Crew

To get in shape for our game next thursday, we just ran the Spar Budapest Marathon! Now drinking beer.

Every week a player of Whiplasher Palinka Crew is going to be introduced. This week there is the introduction of the most important player (he claims this himself) of the team: Basti Nover. Your reporters made an appointment with the captain of the star team in a place which was chosen by Basti himself. Totally in style we went, through the rain, with our bloc note, to the restaurant ‘Bratwurst und Schnapps’.

- Hello Basti, very nice that you have some time for us, why did you chose this restaurant?

Ah das ist mal gut ja. For me it’s logical that we have an appointment hier. Ich liebe bratwurst und I wanted you to show that too. Und of course there is schnapps, who doesn’t liebe schnapps ja?

- How did the first match go Basti?

Es war gut, ja! We won with 9-1 only the referee didn’t count one goal. It doesn’t matter it was an ugly goal. My play was very good und of course that must be as the captain, ja!

- Oh, we wanted to ask you later but you did play a good game?

Jawohl. Without me I think it was only like 3-1. We would have won but not as big as we did right now, thanks to me.

- So, Basti, why are you the captain?

Das ist doch egal? The best player of the team must be the captain.

- Don’t you think that Jean-Robert must be the captain then?

No.

- Why not?

The best player must be captain und I am the best player so you can do the logic (he takes a big bite of his bratwurst)

- What is your prediction of the coming season?

If I don’t get injured, I think we easily win the cup. If I get injured then we are going to have a hard time. My guts tell me that I don’t get an injury so we will be fine. I am looking forward for our championship part. I hope the team agrees we can do it mit Bratwurst und schnapps.

- Is there something you want to say the supporters?

Hello sweet ladies, coming Thursday I am playing again. I would make sure that I start this time so the best thing for you is to be at the beginning at the match so you can see me play. Tschuss!

Match 1 – 01-10-2015
1 October is not only the day when Disney - in 1971 - opened their first Disneyworld Park. It’s also the date of the first soccer match of Whiplasher Palinka Crew. There was more in the air then the love for soccer, there was a will to win. The captain made sure the team was on time and cleared the area of paparazzi. After putting on our special hand-made kit with the amazing colours of black & yellow, black & yellow, black & yellow the knights of soccer made a starting 5. Of course the choice of the keeper was Jean-Robert Barbetin A.K.A. The Wall from French. With the confidence of Napoleon, the skills of Zidane and the energy drink from Zach called Dreher the Whiplasher Palinka Crew started their first match. After one minute you could already see that these guys were more than just normal, good looking people, there was also a talent for soccer. After an amazing assist the ball went behind the goalkeeper and the first goal of the Whiplashers was a fact. The supporters went crazy and they were to become even crazier. The reason for their cheerful minds was another 8 goals against one goal of the other team. 9-1 was the final score with great help from Robert Lewandowski better known as Jochem Loonstra with three goals. But the finest goal of the day was the goal of the Wall from French who changed his keeper skills for skills in the field. He made the 9-1 with a destroying kick from more than 60 meters, so awesome. The Whiplashers did their job and deserved a beer of two. Thanks supporters and thanks to the amazing Whiplashers, we hope to see you at our next match, I have no idea when it is!
