Ramah International Golf Club

The Ramah International Golf Club Captain vs President golf match was a great day. The President's team made a good defence, however the Captain's team proved too strong on the day and reclaimed the bragging rights for the next 12 months. Everyone had an awesome time and all matches were played in a great spirit of friendly competition. There were plenty of stories shared and even a few friendly barbs thrown during the presentation after play. We all enjoyed some cold drinks and nice food as well. The President's team will have until the same time next year to get their games in shape to try and get the win.

Today sees the annual Captain vs President match. The President's team are defending after winning for the first time last year. A good turn out of 50 plus players are set to do battle over 18 holes of 4BBB stroke play match play. The weather is perfect and course conditions are set for some good golf. The Ramah International Golf Club Golf Fest 2025 saw participants accumulate points according to their individual results for each game they played. These points were totalled after the final event on Sunday to determine the Champion for this year's Golf Fest. The points were tight coming in to the last days play with several players in the mix and with the last game being a two person event they were hoping their respective partners would help them out. After the dust had settled and the points were tallied up third place went to Bruce Finlay (he needs to thank his wife for playing well the last day), second went to Stephen Hazell, with the title of Golf Fest Champion going to Patimah Core (she owes her husband for playing well on the final day too). Congratulations to the winners and a massive thank you to all who took part. It was great to catch up with all of you. Thanks to the Ramah team for putting on another fantastic week, I know I certainly had an awesome time. See you all in 2026.

Sunday 12 October saw a Two Person Ambrose event to complete the Ramah International Golf Club 2025 Glof Fest. A large field of 70 plus players enjoyed fantastic weather at New Kuta Golf, Bali and had a great fun day on the course. Coming third in the nett division was the team of Rina Daebritz and Kevin Easterly, second was the team of Howard Otten, Don Skipworth, Jeff Ogden and coming in first for the nett was husband and wife team of Bruce and Lorna Finlay. Coming in third in the Gross division was the team of Roberto Dorian and Bradley Hazell, second was the team of Alvin Cheam and David Thompson and taking first was the team of Anthony Colley and Tim Schramm. The club put on some lovely food for everyone at the end of the day, there was plenty of laughs as we shared stories about the week with the meal. Thanks to all who took part and we will see you next year.

The final round of Ramah International Golf Club Golf Fest is at New Kuta Golf today. The weather is fantastic with Bali turning on great golf conditions. 70 plus players will contest the 2 Ball Ambrose event today for some nice prizes. The title of Golf Fest Champion will also be decided will several players in the mix. Good luck to all and remember, we play golf for fun. The most important thing is you enjoy your day.

Friday 10 October was the 4th round of the Ramah International Golf Club Golf Fest 2025. 60 plus players dragged themselves out of bed, some with foggy heads, for a 7.30 start. The weather once again was perfect for a great days golf. Winning C Grade was John De Stefano. B Grade was won by Bradley Hazell, A Grade by Patimah Core. However, the best player on the day, taking out the Best Nett Overall was Chris Janes. Everyone had an awesome day, congratulations to the winners and we will see you all for the final event on Sunday.

The Ramah early birds at New Kuta Golf, Bali for a Friday 7.30am tee off to try and finish on top in the fourth round of the 2025 Ramah International Golf Club Golf Fest. The weather is almost perfect with conditions ripe for good scoring.

The third round of Ramah's October Golf Fest 2025 took place at Bali's New Kuta Golf course. The weather was fantastic without being too hot. Conditions were right for good golf as shown by some of the excellent scores returned at the end of the round. C grade was won by Gary Powell, B grade by Steve Viles and A Grade by Tony Brandenburg. The best Stableford overall was won by Yani Soemurni. Howard Otten managed an eagle on hole 12 and Daniel King Turner went within a couple of inches of another Albatross on hole 2 with a tap in eagle. Needless to say Daniel is finding hole 2 rather easy at the moment. Everyone has a great day on the course with many a laugh shared over a cold bevy or two after the days play. Congratulations to the winners and we will see you all on Friday for another chance to win.

Bukit Pandawa Golf & Country Club was the host venue for the second round of the 2025 Ramah Golf Fest. Around 60 players teed it up for Tony Brandenburg's Member Trophy day. The 2 Ball Best Ball Stableford format saw some good team scores handed in. Others found the slow greens at Pandawa to be a challenge. The team of Alan Green and Putu Mahendra came in 4th, 3rd was Chris Neal and Roberto Mita Dorian, Mark Walker and Andy Bartels managed second place with Chris Kelland and John Hannes claiming the title of best team. The best individual score not in a winning team was taken by Maria Kemba. All prizes for the day were provided by past Club Captain Tony Brandenburg. This is his second year sponsoring this event and we would like to thank him very much for his continued support.

The first round of the 2025 Ramah Golf Fest was also the October Monthly Medal. A fantastic sunny Sunday afternoon saw some good scores returned. C Grade was won by Alan Green. B Grade Scott Malkin and A Grade by Amanah Alisari. Best Nett Ladies was won by Patimah Core. Best Gross was taken out by Tony Brandenburg. Best Nett overall for the day and winning the Medal was Roberto Mita Dorian. Oliver Barker (hole 18) and Patimah Core (hole 13) also scored Eagles during their round.
