I haven’t been on a “plan” for about 1.5 years now since I’ve been in Bali
Not tracking calories.
Not logging workouts.
Getting grab like 3x a day (like uber eats)
Life has had other priorities
And that’s completely fine
Because the goal of fitness is not to be “on a plan” forever
The goal is to have enough education and awareness to maintain a healthy lifestyle without needing to micromanage every step you take or calorie you eat
For the past 18 months I haven’t opened MyFitnessPal
I haven’t tracked my workouts either
I’ve simply kept a rough target in mind and lived my life
And guess what…
My body didn’t suddenly fall apart.
If you believe you have to track every gram of food and every set in the gym forever just to maintain your body… then one of two things is happening:
1️⃣ Your goal physique probably isn’t sustainable for your lifestyle
or
2️⃣ You’re relying on just tracking instead of education
Because shedding weight super quickly and obsessively tracking every detail might get you results…
…but it won’t make you happy living there long term which is something I’ve learned along the way
These are the first progress pictures I’ve taken in a long time
And the first time in about 18 months that I’m actually setting targets again
Back to:
✔️ Following a structured plan in the gym
✔️ Hitting my step count daily
✔️ Being more intentional with my nutrition
Not because I have to…
But because right now I want to level things up again
Your fitness journey should have seasons
Seasons where you push.
Seasons where you maintain.
And seasons where life simply takes priority
The key is building a lifestyle that allows you to come back stronger whenever you decide to dial it back in
That’s the difference between a diet…
and a sustainable fitness journey.
And that’s exactly what I teach my clients through flexible dieting 🙏🏻
