The Banksia Suites Bali

Well we ain't flying with the Indians after all. Our flight has been rescheduled for 7am tomorrow. Maybe that was karma for me being naughty👍😜😀

We have just arrived at the airport and queuing at check-in. The rather long queue is full of Indians so we figured we are in the right line to Perth😂

Hi Banksia Family and Friends, We are off home to Perth this morning. Staying at the suites for the first time was an experience and worthwhile. When we get home I will do a guest review.
Our last day meal has always been at the PaD on Bene. This one was breakfast.
I'm so looking forward to 4⁰ mornings ☹️☹️
Here is a photo of our local family we have known for 25 years, Nyoman, his wife, and children with the eldest girl out working.
Okay, that's it, we are off to get ready to head home.

Here is Ronnie with her favourite boy, Komang. He is 16 , has never gone to school, or even left the sanctuary of his home.
The second photo shows a bunch of Kintamani/Labrador pups that are 8 weeks old and 3 are for sale. I would buy all of them if living here.

I'm back at the Banksia and after discussing with Ronnie, this bin system seems so bloody confusing with different methods from different people.
Yesterday morning Ronnie was walking down past the Rama Garden and the rubbish collectors had spread the rubbish from the Rama onto the footpath and sorting through it all. There was stuff everywhere on the footpath and it stunk something awful. Here are the bins outside La Karma spa in Padma.
No doubt there is a long way to go and I'm still confused about where this separated rubbish ends up🤔🤔

You would all be aware that Bali has always struggled with the rubbish generated locally in the villages and the tourist areas.
Is there a solution to the rubbish and in particular the environmental friendly disposal of the litter.
Things are starting to happen. The rubbish would have been chucked in the wheelie bins, taken up the front and thrown into the truck each morning.
Now, the rubbish has to be sorted by the residents each day and put into these black plastic bags. The rubbish collectors now go through the bags and if the bags have mixed contents then they will be left and fines can be issued.
Ronnie is trying to source the small 3 coloured bins to have in each suite however they are difficult to find.
I have included a photo of the bins at our bungalow. At least it's a start but educating the locals, particularly in the villages, is going to be difficult.
