I haven't been actively arranging join in trips for a while.

A lot has changed in my life over the last 10 years.

My focus has been some incrediblly inspiring private charter clients and leading some expats on adventures too. Aside from diving I've been focused on a few other deeply heartfelt projects, such as su***de prevention, assisting others with mental health challenges and cultural immersive experiences.

For the past 3 years I've going to another very remote part of Indonesia and feel as excited as I was after being on the first ever professional diving/marine life survey of Triton Bay with Dr Mark Erdmann, Dr Gerry Allen and other marine experts.

This new area has remarkable diving and very rare marine life, much of which hasn't been vety well documented, yet! Another huge highlight, is being in an area with very few operators and for most of the trip there's no other tourist boats to be seen too.

It looks like there will possibly be one or two very special join trips for October - November 2026.

If you're interested please send an email or private message here.

I can't wait to share this with youπŸ™

Great Barrier Reef 2024 RECORD-EQUALING CORAL! Never had more coral than in 2024. 18/09/2024

Here's some great news to brighten your day. News that most orgs aren't sharing.

The Great Barrier Reef seems to be hitting record breaking highs in coral growth.

And, here in Bali it seems the same too. Only 2 years ago Menjangans corals were looking really sad. I was recently at Menjangan and it is also thriving.

Dear Indonesian dive buddies!

I'm trying to find out if anyone knows about a magazine / cartoon called Bom! This went around over 20 years ago.

This was a great story about a Bomb fisherman who blew the reef up and poisoned it with cyanide. It was amazing how well this worked. I'd love to find out who did, so I can get it reprinted.
If you know about it, please message me direct.

Thanks

Two incredibly talented wildlife and underwater photographers have a few openings to join them for presentations, photo critique sessions and much much more.

These two are far more than wildlife photographers too, they are both huge environmentalists doing incredible work. This will for sure be a great experience.

Well done Thailand on facing such poor diving behaviour.

This goes out to all the dive guides out there. It's up to us to now work harder on preventing this πŸ™πŸ»

Diving new sites in Bali...

After well over 20 years of living in Bali it's great to be blessed to still dive places that surprise me.

Over the past few years I've been diving a place that should've really been my local house reef. I lived in Sanur for over 17 years and never really scuba dived there. Now, I live in Denpasar and have been exploring the diving in Sanur quite a few times now.

Here are a few of the highlights from Sanur.

All images taken with my little point and shoot TG5, no external lights.

A hysterical hammerhead shark moment!

When your dive buddy isn't looking in the right place.

I was laughing so much that my mask was nearly filled up with water 🀣

We did have more of them that came coming in to check us out so he didn't miss out on them all😁
