By conserving rare plants related to Balinese ritual and healing, and listening to what they have to offer us, we can discover their essence that has been placed here by the Supreme Entity. Rangki reflects this philosophy as there are sacred springs and temples inside, a place for the community to meet and a great respect for the environment. Architecturally, Rangki follows the pattern of a palace in general. Rangki adheres to the sangga mandala structure, consisting of nine squares of living space, but currently the main feature is a dedication to the plantlife. There is also an outdoor stage that is reminiscent of times gone by, surrounded by flowering trees and sacred statuary. Flanked by a rare semara dhana gamelan, three barongs and a rangda (the protectors of the village), this stage come to life under the stars. Rangki can be rented for the day or evening for any kind of event from weddings to performances. Workshops in every type of Balinese art form with masters are available as well as performances with some of Bali's most esteemed dancers, musicians and puppeteers. There is also an antique Torajan house (with modern facilities) and a two story house available for rent, with its' very own geese guards.
