Learning to surf I my 30s was such a beautiful gift that I needed at the time. In my early 30s I learnt to surf on a short board (my dusty pink 5’8 fish Lola)

Then for a few years doctors told me I shouldn’t surf so much because it would make the fibroid I had in my body bigger… turns out the opposite was true 🤦🏼‍♀️

And while I loved being back on Lola this year after my major surgery, I started longboarding for the first time ever…. And it’s such a different experience

On my short board I feel so masculine and in a rush, competitive, comparing, pushing, self conscious….

But on a log I feel like a graceful woman, I feel confident and powerful and CALM 🥰

Thanks to my longboarding muse and sister .taumberger for all our surf adventures and leading me into this new state of relaxed surf life

Ill still have my fun days on Lola but I think it’s time to start log shopping 🏄‍♀️ 😉

You don’t need magic to catch a big fish. You just need to follow the stars, listen to the people you meet and catch some waves 🏄‍♂️

If you’re having a hard day and need a giggle… just picture this;

Youre stuck in traffic, at an on-ramp to get on the motorway on the Gold Coast, on a Tuesday morning… and suddenly you see a completely naked woman walking along the concrete barriers between the road and the bushes…. Because its been turned into a makeshift skate spot and that’s where we take our n**e pictures, of course 😂
