Before sunrise.
Before the first pedal stroke.
Before the distance reveals what it has in store.

It is 5:00 a.m. in Carita, West Java.

Riders gather at Coconut Island, carrying months of preparation, expectation, and questions only the road can answer.

Nervousness and excitement share the same space. The start is near.

Soon, those same feelings will return.
The anticipation.
The uncertainty.
The promise of a journey waiting beyond the horizon.

A story we will begin once again this year.

For riders selected for , today, 31 May 2026, is the final day to complete your payment and secure your place on the start line.

messages, nudges, or quiet introductions to the committee won’t help.
If anything, they tend to do the opposite.

Stay patient.
And keep riding.

Pair/Team category. Does it make things easier?

From the outside, riding as a pair or team sounds more promising.
You’re not alone in the dark.
There’s someone to talk to in the silence.
You can take turns against the wind.

It all seems like an advantage.

But there’s one thing often overlooked:
two riders, two minds, two different approaches to ultra-cycling.

One sees the flats as a chance to push the pace.
The other sees it as time to hold back.
One sees climbs as a curse.
The other sees them as a moment to take it all in.
One needs to stop to eat.
The other keeps moving.

Differences that can become challenges.

So, is riding as a pair or team more advantageous? Yes.
Does it make things easier? Not necessarily.



Drafting is prohibited for all solo riders.

It is only permitted for riders in pairs, and only with their teammate.

Any outside assistance, regardless of vehicle type or from other participants, is prohibited.

The wind will be both your ally and your adversary throughout your 1,500 km journey.
