What's a difference beetween a trainer and a coach? Imagine the difference between a manager and a leader.

Both trainer or manager focuses on getting things done. Coach or leader focuses on getting a purpose across. Consequently, a coach will spend a lot more of time at building relationship and trust; and it goes way beyond a workout session. That's why being a coach or leader is a massive responsibility. It can be scary sometimes. Everytime, literally everytime, someone calls me "coach" or wear a t-shirt with such title on it, l immediately think "am I really? do people know the weigh of its meaning?". On a lighter note, when your passionate about something, you can look so ugly in the process of sharing that passion. šŖ @ KoinWorks

Gym culture is not easy to get rid when youāre so used to programming your day to day workout around barbell and dumbbells. I still have to force myself now and then to workout using what I have on hands; yes I do not enjoy bodyweight workouts that much. Enjoying family holiday in Batam!

Each combo consists of a TRX exercise and a jump rope drill. Perform 3 sets of each combo with no less and no more of perscribed rest time (60-75 seconds) between sets. Rest 2-3 minutes between combos.

NP-NG memang terdengar filosofis. Mungkin idenya, saat ingin mencapai sesuatu ada yang harus dikorbankan sampai kita merasa sakit. Bahkan saat beban semakin berat, kita putuskan untuk terus berjuang sampai selesai. Jadi, rasa sakit yang dilewati tidak sia-sia dan membuat kita semakin kuat. Tanpa tekanan (yang menimbulkan 'pain') tidak ada pertumbuhan.
Tapi DALAM KONTEKS latihan fisik, prinsip NP-NG tidak mutlak. Jika yang kita pikirkan adalah:
- membulatkan tekad menyelesaikan repetisi terakhir walau sudah sangat letih
- menambah berat beban walau terbayang akan sulit
mungkin maksud kita adalah 'discomfort', BUKAN 'pain'.
'Pain' = rasa sakit fisik yang muncul dari cidera, bisa terjadi karena tehnik kurang baik, intensitas melebihi kapasitas, atau sekadar apes. Bentuknya rasa tajam di titik otot/sendi tertentu di tubuh, sering hanya satu sisi. Membuat tidak bisa melakukan satu gerakan dengan baik atau sama sekali. Semakin bergerak, semakin sakit. Perlu mingguan/bulanan untuk dihilangkan.
Supaya , kita harus progresif menaikkan intensitas (menambah repetisi/beban/gerakan/durasi) latihan. Yang ingin dialami lewat progresi adalah '(muscular/mental) discomfort'; berat rasanya tapi kita yakinkan diri untuk menyelesaikan. Kita jadi lebih letih karena usaha esktra lebih SAAT latihan, dibandingkan dulu melakukan yang sama dengan intensitas lebih rendah. Usaha ekstra ini sering ditandai dengan munculnya 'soreness' (atau DOMS - delayed onset muscle soreness).
'Soreness' = rasa pegal (bisa tepat atau dalam 24-48 jam) sesudah latihan; area lebih luas (mis seluruh paha). Ini cara tubuh bilan "kamu baru melakukan aktivitas fisik yang tak biasa!". Bisa dipercepat hilangnya justru dengan tetap latihan/bergerak dengan intensitas rendah.
Don't make pain or soreness the indicators of an effective training session. Someone can workout at low intensity and not experience both, and still it is better than nothing. Progress can even come without discomfort; but very very slow.
So when is the 1% of time 'pain' can be useful? Only when the pain from injury triggers us to train smarter & empowers us to not give up and try again once we recover.
Need to recruit more of lats and traps but itās 25xRM at 100kg so now I need my sliced mango.

1st round do:
DB Walking Lunge 20x
DB Sn**ch 20xR / 20xL
DB Renegade Push Ups 20x
DB Thrusters 20x
DB Standing Curl 20x

2nd round do 18x, 3rd round do 16x, and so on until 10th round 2x.

Leave your ego on the side of the court; no need to go heavy with the dumbbells. I use only a pair of 10kg DBs. Female you can try 4kg to 6kg. When you finish, this workout will end with you doing 660 total repetitions. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

Hari Kamis 2 minggu yang lalu saya dan istri akhirnya berhasil pergi ke bioskop untuk menonton film āMission Impossible: Falloutā. Adegan-adegan aksi sepanjang film sungguh menegangkan (walau alur cerita agak lemah menurut saya). Syukurlah kami bisa mengambil waktu untuk menontonnya! Tapi ada hal lain yang mencuri perhatian saya di sana; salah satu iklan yang biasanya ditayangkan di bioskop sebelum film dimainkan. [ 875 more words ]

So just last Thursday night my wife and I went to the movie to see āMission Impossible: Falloutā. Yes, the action scenes in the movie are amazing (albeit the weak story line). Thank God we made the time to see it! But something else caught the most of my attention; it was one of the ads that the theatre usually plays on screen before the movie starts. [ 897 more words ]
