🌊 Weird & Wonderful: Meet the Tunicates! 🪸
Ever seen these colorful, squishy sea creatures while diving? Tunicates (also called sea squirts) may look like plants, but they’re actually animals – and they have some crazy facts to share! 🤯
🔹 Mini Time Travelers – As larvae, tunicates have a tiny backbone like us! But once they settle, they absorb it and turn into filter-feeding blobs.
🔹 Super Filters – These guys clean the ocean by filtering water, removing particles, and even absorbing microplastics.
🔹 Self-Cloning Masters – Some tunicates can reproduce by budding, creating exact copies of themselves. Talk about a built-in buddy system!
🔹 Bright & Bizarre – They come in crazy colors and patterns, from neon blue to bright orange, blending beautifully with coral reefs.
