Den heutigen tauchfreien Tag,
haben wir genutzt um ein neues Regal fuer unsere Flossen zu bauen. Die Crew hat alles selbst gemacht.....richtige Handarbeit.....vielen lieben Dank an Wayan , Nana, Gusti & Kadek.

Nach über 8 Jahren im Unternehmen geht für Romana ein Kapitel zu Ende – und für uns heißt es heute, einer Kollegin Abschied zu sagen.😞

Romana war im Head Office tätig und für viele von euch die erste Anlaufstelle im Bereich Buchungen. Mit ihrer verlässlichen Art und ihrem Überblick selbst in hektischen Momenten hat sie unseren Arbeitsalltag über all die Jahre hinweg stark geprägt. Es sind oft die leisen Konstanten, die ein Unternehmen zusammenhalten – und Romana war genau eine dieser Konstanten. 💙

Liebe Romana, wir danken dir von Herzen für deinen Einsatz, deine Geduld und all die Jahre, in denen du mit uns gearbeitet und gelacht hast.
Du wirst uns sehr fehlen.

After more than 8 years with the company, a chapter comes to an end for Romana – and today we say goodbye to a colleague. 😞

Romana worked in the Head Office and was for many of you the first point of contact when it came to bookings. With her reliable nature and her ability to stay on top of things even in busy moments, she has strongly shaped our daily work over all these years. It is often the quiet constants that hold a company together – and Romana was exactly one of those constants. 💙

Dear Romana, we sincerely thank you for your dedication, your patience, and all the years in which you worked and laughed with us.
You will be greatly missed.

Hier begegnet ein Perlenseestern einem großen Luzon Seestern, in der wunderschön bunten Riffwand von Gili Biaha. (15 Min. Bootfahrt von unserer Tauchbasis.) Die Beiden unterscheiden sich nicht nur im Aussehen sondern auch in der Art und Weise der Fortpflanzung. Während der Perlenseestern sich geschlechtlich fortpflanzt praktiziert der Luzon Autotomie, d.h. er wirft einen seiner Arme ab, welcher sich dann zu einem kompletten Seestern entwickelt.

Here, a pearl sea star encounters a large Luzon sea star amidst the beautifully colorful reef wall of Gili Biaha. (A 15-minute boat ride from our dive center.) The two differ not only in appearance but also in their method of reproduction. While the pearl sea star reproduces sexually, the Luzon sea star practices autotomy—that is, it sheds one of its arms, which then develops into a complete sea star.

Die Nasenmuräne (Rhinomuraena quaesita) oder auch Geistermuräne gennant ist ein Geschlechtswechsler. Als Jungtier ( juveniles Männchen) ist sie schwarz wird dann als erwachsenes Männchen leuchtend blau/gelb um anschließend als reingelbes Weibchen zu existieren.

The nose moray eel (Rhinomuraena quaesita), also known as the ghost moray eel, is a sex-changer. As a juvenile (juvenile male), it is black, then as an adult male it becomes a bright blue/yellow, before finally existing as a pure yellow female.

Der Goldwarzen-Plattwurm (Thysanozoon nigropapillosum) ist ein karnivorer Räuber, der sich hauptsächlich von Seescheiden und Mollusken ernährt. Er plaziert sich auf der Beute und saugt sie dann schlicht aus.......trotzdem hübsch!

The gold-warted flatworm (Thysanozoon nigropapillosum) is a carnivorous predator that feeds mainly on tunicates and mollusks. It positions itself on its prey and simply sucks it dry... still pretty, though!
